Heidi (Nana)
Over the Rainbow Bridge
Nana came home with me last night as she is off to be speyed today and have her teeth dealt with which she really needs. She spent the night on our bed and is obviously very happy at being in a home. Please look past the fact that she is nearly 7 - she is full of life and so happy and grey with all mine at home.

What can I say about this big boy? Well he is very handsome has a very waggy, waggy tail and loves coming out of his kennel for a walk.He is alert and has beautiful amber eyes and really wants to be out of kennels as soon as possible.

Pearl you really do need to sell yourself a bit more! This little girl is just so lovely and house trained. She was a much loved girl who due to a difficult situation came back to kennels. She is quiet and doesn't push herself forward. She will make a great addition to any family and really needs to be back in a home.So if you are looking for a lovely little lady who is house trained great on the lead little Pearl could be the one for you.Pop down to the kennels and you will see what I mean.

Minnie
I’m Homed
Minnie has settled in so well that it looks like we will be keeping her! My mum says she thinks we will, so as long as Minnie doesn't set the house on fire or anything I think it will all be good. I told her earlier to be on her best behaviour for tonight. So a little while after her walk she wanders off into the hallway and I hear this crash. Wondering what on earth is going on I get up only to see Minnie walking into the lounge with her water bowl in her mouth. Needless to say the water was no longer in the bowls and instead spread all over the hallway. After cleaning up the wet floors, I start to vacuum the lounge and see Minnie walk in quietly behind me. She then leaves, I just thought she didn't like the noise the vacuum made. I then stop, start to reel up the wire and I see her walk in with the green bucket Ruth lent me. Her water bowl sits in the green bucket. I had the joys of cleaning up all her water again! Ah, apparently by best behaviour I actually meant "hoard the strangest things you can". She is such a character. Albeit a very adorable one. Minnie appears to be fine with the chickens, she isn't bothered when she sees them through the windows. The cat however is a bit of a different story. She is getting better at coming back to her name when the cat appears but I think (if my mum still stays on the 'keeping Minnie' road) I'll take her to training classes to try and work on her desire to get acquainted with the cat. I'm so glad Freda is doing well, I remember her from when she was in kennels. A really cute little girl. I've really enjoyed reading all your comments on how she has been getting on. 🙂

Minnie
I’m Homed
Hope Minnie is settling in. She sounds a real character, I think this only starts to show once they are away from the kennel environment. We've loved having Freda - your description of lunch sounds exactly like Freda was - they're both "foodies", and she must have thought her name was "No" the number of times we said it! But she got the message eventually and is so much better now - hopefully Minnie will be the same too. Hope she doesn't get too interested in the chickens, it must be so hard for them to adjust to all the new rules we set for them. Enjoy Minnie and lets hope that both her & Freda (the long stay girls) will find a forever home very soon.

Freda
I’m Homed
It's been an absolute joy & pleasure to have had Freda staying with us for a while. She's learnt so much over the past couple of weeks, is housetrained and loves nothing better than to snooze cuddled up against you. She's had brief contact with other breeds and showed no adverse reaction & is so much better at food times now. She is ready to be someone's loving companion and I really hope it happens for her very soon. Good luck my lovely girl. xx

Larry
Over the Rainbow Bridge
I think Larry must have been watching the Olympics as when we went for a walk yesterday he was off like Usain Bolt and I couldn't manage him. So today we tried him in the Mekuti harness and he was Larry the Lamb, letting me walk him all round the block on a slack lead. Such a good boy. Although he does have a little trick of pushing between your legs as you walk round the house and garden so it's a bit like riding a horse. He is lightening our hearts. xx
