    Over the Rainbow Bridge

Just an update on Marty and Misty to say we are all doing a lot better at walking round the village without too many reactions to other dogs and cats. In fact they now totally ignore 2 little yappies that we regurlarly pass. They still react to Patch but we are getting better at dealing with it so it doesn't get out of control. A couple of weeks ago Marty was quite poorly with an inflamed gut and passed an alarming amount of blood so had to have antibiotics and steroids. We also changed his diet back to Burns which has calmed down his digestive system. We are back at the vets with him on Monday as he has something strange happening with his left eyelid and they need to monitor it, will keep you posted.

Just a quick update....Bob was very good in the car, had a little snooze on the M42. Had a good look at the garden, investigated the house (leapt up the stairs, straight onto the spare bed and came down fine on his own) He was so chilled, no panting, shaking or whining at all. Had some tea (ate it all nicely) and then went for nice walk in fields with my friend who has had lots of greys. She was sooo impressed at how calm Bob is - he showed no stress at all. He is now in a quiet room on a cosy bed while I have my dinner. Had a little whinge for about a minute, but soon settled. I am so pleased he's not upset.....he may be saving it all up for the night! Such a lovely boy! Thanks for all your help and time today Ruth! xx

Aimee - totally agree about the food thing, she's just letting us know that she's there and would like feeding please!!!She really is a treasure and I love walking her (I volunteer every Wednesday) as she's so gentle and walks beautifully next to you, and I agree, she wouldn't have to bark in her own home at feeding time as the circumstances would be so different. I hope someone falls in love with her very soon. x

Beautiful new pick of my old girl frieda. Can't believe you haven't being snapped up. Yes shanes mum, she was very vocal in the racing kennels too when it was feeding time, especially if she didn't get fed instantly and would watch others being fed. This wouldn't be an issue in a home as she would be fed first (If shes not with another grey) and wouldn't be able to see food pass her like in kennels. Don't be put off by her loud barking as once shes out and in company of people she becomes calm and a very affectionate girl. Good luck girly xxxx
