Amber (Bow)
Over the Rainbow Bridge
Amber is sadly being returned as she is getting severe separation anxiety. She really needs a home where she is not going to be left for long and has the company of another dog. Her owners have really tried, but as she is so young she is very full of energy and needs an experienced owner with another dog or a busy family to offer her a home.

Its amazing and lovely to watch her sleeping at the moment ,(its making me cry actually) shes actually on Teddy's quilt with an open sleeping bag on top of her , Ive been out of the room several times and she hasn't moved an inch , it almost seems like the longer separation today has done us both good , I was getting pretty stressed at work today just thinking about what might be going on at home , but I think she picked up on my relief when I got home and everything was pretty much as I had hoped , even the poo was pretty much what I had expected and she should now know , I aint going to leave her for nothing I so want to unmuzzle her ( dont worry not going to) , but im actually going to keep her muzzled until my next week off , which is in 15 weeks time in July so being very cautious although I am going to do the odd and more frequent days in-between , when Im on day off and relaxed and attentive , but she has shown no interest in nipping Teddy and she still plays with toys with the muzzle on . Don't think Ive actually said this before , as it takes time to build but, I really and truly love her ! I took her to the Petrol Station just up the road from me yesterday to meet a lady who works there and who has had Greyhounds and she was so calm with all the customers who came including a little girl who just sat on the floor stroking her whilst her mum paid for the petrol and whilst chatting to her mum guess what , they had not long lost their greyhound I dont think I could ever consider another breed of dog now , Greyhounds are perfect for me Oh and.... she is so amazing on the lead that when she sees people now , she just holds her face right on my legs until we have walked past them... the last week has been hard work and intense, trying to stop bad behavior before it happens but the rewards are just sprouting on what is going to be a Normal day for all 3 of us Ok so I lied about not still giving regular updates Jeff

Well , first day back at work, but managed to control the excitement when I got home , it seems my little routine worked throughout the week so coming home tonight was like coming in at any other time , I did have some mess to clear up , but luckily she does that downstairs so its easy to clean up , Im sure that will improve given time , but I think that just means giving a bit less food in the mornings oh and there was clear evidence she had been on my desk ( namely the fact the phone was knocked off the hook and the alarm clock was on the floor) just call me sherlock holmes for working that one out !! but nothing amazingly untoward and she was fine when my nieghbour let her out . She settled amazingly quickly after I came home and thats the main thing , I've been used to poo and wee given recent months with Eve and at least I know that will get better and should stop altogether soon enough

Ruby (Joan)
Over the Rainbow Bridge
Well what a weekend, knew things were going to be different when the kitchen became full of boxes n bags, got a bit tricky to get to our beds! Anyway they all arrived home on Friday from school, next thing we were in the car, oh we means me n my sis Goldie, she can be a bit grumpy sometimes, anyway not only were we in the car but behind the car was this BIG white thingy, a caravan apparrently. So off we went, when the car stopped it was action stations, never seen anything like it before, they even left us in the car!! Soon we were allowed out n wow, we were taken into "the caravan" n their were our beds, blankets AND toys, amazing! Not only all our lovely things but theirs too, this looked good as I was abit worried they might be leaving us, not good as I love them loads and like to know where they are, if I can't see them, which is best by far! Well now I'm rambling so had better tell you what happened. We stayed at a lovely campsite, grass everywhere lots of trees, n what do tree's have, YESSSSSSSSSSSS squirrals!!!! So spent all weekend walking, snoozing oh n watching squirrals AND rabbits, bonus. There was a downside to all this fun and that was CHILDREN, yuk, don't mind my 2 but then they're big sadly the little ones make horrible noises, thankfully mum let me snuggle on sofa, though best place was the shower! So we're now back home having had a faberoooooo weekend, mum n dad keep saying how good we were, we know that, that they had alovely time and we were good, yes wew know that. So our first holiday in the "Van"is over, nice to be back home but can't wait to go again!!!!

Hello Auntie Ruth, sorry I didn't get to see you today but Dad said we(thats me n pesky Ruby) had to stay in the car as we'd got the caravan n parked on the road. Just wanted to say THANKS, not, for showing mum how to clean our ears, we'd not been home 5mins n hey presto, out came the babywipes. She might have enjoyed doing it can't say it's the best thing thats happened to me, though Ruby seemed to llike it, well she would. Anyway thankfully Dad arrived home to save me n gave me a proper ear rub, I love my Dad.

I've just picked Tia up from the vets following her spey. This morning at the vets she met a giant fluffy poodle, a tiny terrier and a parrot and was great unmuzzled with them all 🙂 she gets my cuddle today!

Tia is a lovely little girl. We took her to Sutton Park on the walk & she was amazing on her lead as Beany (hi Beany!) said! She's quite bouncy in her kennel but out in the park she settled well & walked happily (although she was keen to get up front) A real little darling 🙂 <3 <3 xxx
