We had the same problem with our small lurcher destroying toys. The Wubba toys who are made by the people that make the kongs are quite good.Plastic squeaky ones lasted about 5 seconds and some of the stuffed toys faired a bit better but I do spenda lot of time sewing them up as she likes to pull the stuffing out of them! An old rugby ball seemed to survive the longest. Good luck to you all.

Thanks for your lovely comments! Yes I can confirm Parker is a Red dog and is settling in well. He is quite boisterous at the moment and a little unsure in his new home but with some patience I'm sure he will calm down a bit. He is quiet at night and doesn't make a mess in the house, though he has destroyed all of his toys in about 5 minutes! We will be bringing him on walks and to training classes soon and it will be great to meet some new people and dogs there. Lisa, Rob and Parker x

She brings him to the kennels when she comes to the kennels on fridays n week by week he's gettin more n more brave n confident. He's now comin to people he knows for fuss n treats n wags his tail. It's great t c how well he's doin. You can c how much he is now loved n hopefully it won't b long b4 the 'homed' sign is up. I luv this big softy. X

  • Mystic

    Over the Rainbow Bridge

Mystic & Cally surprised us today when we tried to reintroduce them to the cats. Normally when they hear the cats or see them through the window they'll bark like mad. however when we got them face-face today (whilst muzzled and on leads), Mystic just stood back looking at the cats and Cally whined and backed up as if scared. Fingers crossed that over time they be able to tolerate the cats in the house and they'll be able to have a bit more freedom around the house. Jen, Mystic & Cally x

  • Cally (aka Linda)

    I’m Homed

We decided 2day 2 try seeing how Cally & Mystic would react to being in the same room as the cats. so whilst they had their leads and muzzles on we walked them up 2 the cats. Cally whined and backed up as if scared and Mystic just stood looking at the cats with his teeth chattering. We were very surprised by their reactions as normally they only have 2 hear the cats or see them through the window and they'll bark like mad. Hopefully over time we'll be able to retrain them both 2 tolerate the cats in the house. Cally has now stopped having accidents in the lounge and the barking during the early hours has also stopped. Jen, Cally & Mystic x

Hi Parker, to be taken seriously as a red you might have to change your name,im a Blue nose and proud of it, otherwise if your mum & dad get you a brother or sister,it might be called brains or lady penelope, imagine that being shouted across the park! All the best in your new home Blue & Ben x.
