This is so true! I have a puppy lurcher -tiny 10kgs - looks bit like a grey.....many of the greyhounds accept her as 'one of them' albeit mini size, many of them stare, tremble (either fear, or excitement of this 'Big bunny lure'), lick their lips and want to lunge! Spesh as she is very vocal and squeaks a lot!! Not their fault, they cant help instinct, their previous job, and luckily the pup doesn't notice/respond. sounds like Paddy is in the calm laid back category, lovely.x

Um don't want to panic but was he off lead? If so he would be a phenomenal hound to be so obedient so quickly... and you'd be very welcome to take the training class for me LOL Usually we find they're a bit 'shut down' when they first go into homes (but also can be calm not shut down) ... it usually takes them a while to get used to their new world so please be careful when other breeds are about as greys have not usually seen other breeds and can be scared of them or think they're bunnies ... 🙁 Julie x

Aimee was great last night, didn't get anyone up and no mess! Had her first walk with JoJo and Susie this morning and was no trouble at all, completely unfazed by all the traffic and wagged her tail at everyone we passed. Ate all her breakfast and didn't try to steal anyone else's.

Took paddy over the park this morning, and he got surrounded by lots of little dogs and one big one and he looked at me with terrified eyes so I ran over and nearly kicked some doggy butt!! he got extra cuddles for being such a calm good boy!! we love you Paddy!! x

Hi Mark, Fizz definatly has her paws under the table, and she has not touched the tree, really surprised about that. Must stop at three! No more room at the inn. 🙁 Ruth you are fab, such a lovely warm person. I am so glad we gave her that chance, she is a monkey, but such a sweet monkey. Fingers and toes crossed for her!!! I will keep you posted xx

Hi Danny....I have given Jake my cuddle for today as I am so very happy for him. We have a grey faced girl who looks very like your Jake and when we picked her she had been at the kennels for quite a long time - probably overlooked in the same way. We had her a few days before her 5th birthday and people often coo and say she must be a really old girl and I have to say now she is only 6! Well done to you for picking this gorgeous boy and I hope Jake brings as much happiness to you and your family as Lola has to us. (She's Highfire Lass on Greyhound-data.com there's a photo on there taken the first summer we had her) xxx

I was so pleased to hear from Jake's mum that he is being so very good. I was over the moon when he was picked on Wednesday as he has been overlooked so many times because of his grey face. He is an amazing dog who has found an amazing family - I know he is already very much loved.... thank you x

Beautiful Susie - she was collected from the vets yesterday and came home with me last night. She is so quiet and gentle - I wrapped her in her blanket last night and she was still wrapped in it this morning. She will stay at ours today and be at the kennels from tomorrow x

Star has started to play, especially with our big Sam xxxx She is greeting people at the door with a verry waggy tail, backs away a little if she doesn't know them and then creeps back for a sniff and a fuss xxxx She likes teatowels (apparently they are toys lol ) and sausages and adores peanut butter xxxx
