Hi Aimee Your experience is very different to mine, I find the greys who freeze on walks are usually very scared not being lazy or stubborn. Like you say tho with company and understanding you can usually win them round and they begin to trust you and their confidence grows. J x

Just got home from Willows with Blaze, he has been discharged 90% recovered from his spinal stroke. Hopefully given time he should make a full recovery.

awww poor blue boy! his a fantastic dog, he just needs patience! His very lazy and stubborn, if he doesn't want to walk round the park he used to slam his bum down. the kennels were alot quieter without him. Think he prefers the company of another grey, he was always kenneled with a bitch. hope your forever home comes along soon! xxxx

Ah, he's such a lovely boy. If he hadn't been reserved, I reckon my other half would have snaffled him away-he fell in love with him on Saturday. Good luck to Stevie and his new family. Keep in touch-I love reading how they're getting on in their new homes. Mand x

I love them too, they make me laugh out loud. You should write a book - perhaps ''The Memoirs of a Retired Greyhound in Training -Year 1'. I'd buy it! Mand x

Jack
Over the Rainbow Bridge
Jack the Lad - Chapter 5. Jack is now known as 'A Git' . . . (A)lways (G)etting (I)nto (T)rouble. He's turned into a master burgler, somehow managing to open the living room door (and shutting it behind him). He's broken ornamants that were on the window sill as a result of being a nosey so and so and knocking them off when getting his head behind the blinds (not too worried - they were naff anyway), chewed up a book up or two and has left dental imprints in the tv remote. He's now commanded sole slobbing out rights to every piece of furniture in the house that was designed to accommodate a human bottom and when you try to pick a spot to sit down, it turns into a game of musical chairs! He still takes far too much interest in my dinner immediately after he's eaten his own and is a cheeky little rascal, but I love him. Taking all of this into account, he's turned into the most loving, funny and clever addition to the household (and that includes me and my son). When out walking and strutting around the house, his tail is no longer buried between his hind quarters and day by day, it's sticking out that little bit further. He loves Millie and loves the neighbours popping in to say hi every day and is adored by all who meet him. What a superstar!
