Slightly early I know as actually it's not Mia's birthday til tomorrow but we've been celebrating today as unfortunately it's our first day back at work tomorrow after the school holidays! So - a very Happy Birthday Mia! I'm glad you enjoyed a slice of your birthday cake (thanks to Vicky at greyhound gifts!) and a lovely long walk all round Kenilworth castle. We've had you nearly six months now and you are a special, sweet and adorable girl - much loved and cherished. Many more happy birthdays to come I hope. Love from us and your greyhound sister Evi xxxxxxxx

  • Sid

    Over the Rainbow Bridge

We are feeding him Burns and now have the measures right! Thanks for that. Today, we took him to meet Kevin another greyhound to try to build up his confidence on walks. Sid has this thing about only going so far on a walk before he stops and then decides he doesn't want to go that particular way and there's no budging him! He really knows his own mind and the way back home so walks are short at the moment. Today he was brilliant, Kevin and Sid seemed to really get on well and Sid was more than happy to go for a very long walk and we think he thoroughly enjoyed himself and meeting his new friend. We were so pleased. It's only been 3 weeks and he is settling in slowly at his own pace! We hope that in time he'll come and keep us company in the lounge but he's tried it out for a few minutes and then retreats to his bed but it's a start. We are really enjoying having him and look forward to more progress with walks and getting him used to being a bit.

    Over the Rainbow Bridge

Well done Jack, you so much remind us of our first grey. He was also a bog black male who we called Jack. We lost Jack back in march 2010 at an age of 13, it was Jack who made us fall in love with greys. Hope it works out for you x

Just had a update from Willows, Blaze has made some good progess. He is back on his feet and has started walking although still very wobbly, with a bit of luck he might be able to come home tomorrow. He is being greatly by us all. Gracie seems to missing him, she hasn't been the same since Blaze was admitted. We are going to Willows to spend some time and cuddles with Blaze. Will keep you updated x

Discovered pea likes to watch the telly and squeaky toys. she's also been to our local park, and met 10 new friends and neighbours already and loved it.

Definitely a dog made in heaven just for us, she had her first pee and poop (outside of course cos she is a lady) god bless her she held out for 11 hours, now sleeping by my bed, managed the stairs and slippy kitchen floor all on her own, then she stole my teddy! She's a real star.. Ps my thoughts are with blaze today xx

Blaze has had a MRI scan, and it would seem he has either suffered a stroke or a minor slipped disc. He is being kept in over the weekend to be assessed further.
