Tony is now Toby but does not seem to have noticed! He is settling well but still needs lots of fuss and cuddles. He will now share a duvet with his half sister Bella (Gayle). Big adventure to the vets today but he was very good. Coming to see you on the 23rd to see if they both suit blood donation

Well Kate, we call her Sheena, although we were given several names she wouldn't come to any, so that's what we call her. Mindy is well missed by all & always will be. As to keeping her that's not our choice. Sylv xx

Rehoming is always difficult during the summer months as many people have a holiday planned so it is not a good time to get a new dog.

Hi Sylv, how awful for your new lodger! Such a shame and so young. I am sure now she is with you she will be fine. What is her name? Do you think you will keep her? Poor Flossie she must really be missing Minday as I am sure you all still do. glad to hear you are ok. Kate xx

Hi Kate, Well we are fine & I hope you & Twiggy are well. The girls are fine although Flossie was a little strange for a few weeks after the loss of Mindy & she took to her mums bed & that's her's now. Although some weeks ago we were contacted by the vet who asked if we would foster a g/hound with a smashed leg, she is well behaved & the other two take little notice of her, it appears she had just come over from Ireland & while in the kennel was found hanging with the smashed leg. Although she has to be confined, things are improving & the vet is very pleased with her progress, at 20 mths she's done well but I don't think she will be back in racing kennels. Take care, lovely to hear from you. Sylv x

Hi Sharon, I am not sure why your post has appeared under Sunny.... anyway, please give Julie Sadler a call or go along to any of the free training sessions offered where you can speak to the trainers and other greyhound owners for advice and support. Julie and the other trainers are all very experienced with greyhounds and can offer more specialised advice than going to a 'normal dog training group'. The training voucher should be in your homing pack with all the contact numbers of all the trainers who can help you. What are you feeding her and what is her routine for feeding and walking currently as these all have a major impact?

Maybe the reason he's being overlooked is down to primal psychology - a bit like when you go to a dance and no-one wants to talk to the girl / boy that's standing by themselves purely because nobody else is!

    I’m Homed

I left her at home today as she wouldn't eat any breakfast and seemed to like laying in the hallway first thing this morning. I left her a big bed by the front door and put the camera on her and have been watching her intermittently throughout the day and she has slept continuously only stirring a couple of times to change position! What a poppet!
