thank u for all ur kind words, we're all missing him like mad and are so grateful that we could have him live with us, even if it was for such a short time. the house is not the same without him, it doesn't feel right to only have 2 greys makin themselves comfy on the sofa xx

hello Sharon, just a quickie regarding the training class, it is so worth trying to get to the classes which are led by greyhound experts, in the past we have had people take their new greyhounds to ' ordinary dog classes' and it has resulted in disasterous consequences....even now i still get 'so called dog trainers/experts' trying to give me advice on my greyhounds when they clearly have no idea what they are talking about and base their observations on hear say and rumours rather than fact about this specific breed. i used to travel from Derby to the other side of Brum when i first had Rossi and it really is worth driving a few miles for rather than listening to people who have very little or even no experience with greyhounds....also very useful for training in general is the 'Dog Listener by Jan Fennell' available as book or DVD and ideal for the whole family to watch and learn from together...kind regards and all the best...Ina

Oooh, don't let the barking put you off, some dogs get stressed in kennels and a home just settles them down. Kennels turned my Penny into a complete barking, growling, bouncing ball of stress, but at home she's a poppet, a completely different dog...just ask Ruth, I'm sure she remembers how Penny was, lol! x

Teddy has such a sweet looking face...mmm the barking bit though puts me off a bit. It took Brucey (Killeacle Wardy) about 5 years before he built up the courage to bark to be let in!!

Tony is now Toby but does not seem to have noticed! He is settling well but still needs lots of fuss and cuddles. He will now share a duvet with his half sister Bella (Gayle). Big adventure to the vets today but he was very good. Coming to see you on the 23rd to see if they both suit blood donation

Well Kate, we call her Sheena, although we were given several names she wouldn't come to any, so that's what we call her. Mindy is well missed by all & always will be. As to keeping her that's not our choice. Sylv xx

Rehoming is always difficult during the summer months as many people have a holiday planned so it is not a good time to get a new dog.

Hi Sylv, how awful for your new lodger! Such a shame and so young. I am sure now she is with you she will be fine. What is her name? Do you think you will keep her? Poor Flossie she must really be missing Minday as I am sure you all still do. glad to hear you are ok. Kate xx

Hi Kate, Well we are fine & I hope you & Twiggy are well. The girls are fine although Flossie was a little strange for a few weeks after the loss of Mindy & she took to her mums bed & that's her's now. Although some weeks ago we were contacted by the vet who asked if we would foster a g/hound with a smashed leg, she is well behaved & the other two take little notice of her, it appears she had just come over from Ireland & while in the kennel was found hanging with the smashed leg. Although she has to be confined, things are improving & the vet is very pleased with her progress, at 20 mths she's done well but I don't think she will be back in racing kennels. Take care, lovely to hear from you. Sylv x
