Just a point ... when my lurcher had a neighbours cat I claimed on his insurance for the cat's treatment but if he hadn't been insured my house insurance would have paid as I had 3rd party liability with that too and with the house insurance I wouldn't have paid any excess. J x

Hi... lovely to see you all yesterday at Sutton Park. So please that Suzy Bluebell has a gorgeous new sister. Tara is a real sweetie and we wish you much happiness with her. It had to happen eventually...... and if they are anything like our 2 girls I expect you'll have a lot of fun watching the 2 of them together as their relationship grows 🙂 Love from Linda, Paul, Lola & Lena xxx

Rocky gets my cuddle today. Having been through a similar experience myself with Lola (but luckily her injury was very minor compared with this) I can sympathise. In our case the loose dog's owner - it flew out of a house as we walked past with her on lead...did the decent thing and paid our vets bill straight away. It only take a second for this sort of accident to happen. Once the physical injuries have healed, I do hope Rocky is able to also get over the mental trauma. Lola was very nervous for a long time when big dogs come near her, She is still wary but much better now. I thought about it but we didn't report it as we felt the owner had learned a very hard lesson (it was a rescue dog) and at the end of the day that dog was also someone's pet and as owners we felt for them also. I will make a little donation for Rocky but my thoughts are with everyone xxxxx

Oh goodness me .. I hope the lad makes a speedy recovery. My 3 whoofs always wear muzzles (yes we probably look like the gladiators out and about) but I know if the unexpected happens they cannot cause injury although it doesn't prevent them being injured. Best wishes to all Jx

Gemma came home with us yesterday and settled really quickly - she is so lovely. We are softly setting some rules in place as she loves food and will openly pinch off the worktops and also took till 2am this morning to settle, but we followed Ruth's advise and came down letting her out to the toilet but didn't talk or give eye contact (this seemed to work). She is a confident lovely girl, which shows she has previously been well looked after. Many thanks to Ruth and her staff for introducing Gemma to our family.

And come to one of the training classes we offer - we teach people how to control and 'read' your dog so you don't let situations escalate. Jx

Sadly the owner of the dog let go of the lead and it was an accident.... the other owner (who is actually an owner of a grey from Daybreaks) is really distressed about the situation. It is one of those very unfortunate accidents but reinforces my constant worry of people holding on to a lead tight and using the muzzle 🙁

Oh you poor boy, that wound is massive. What is it with people letting their dogs off and not supervising them properly? We had a run in with a loose Jack Russell today - no owner in sight, but Bloss ended up with a bleeding lip. Sadly (sorry- Luckily) the Jack Russel ran off sharpish and unhurt when Reubes lunged at it. I was livid, and then I see poor Rocky and its just made me mad again.....hope you heal up soon big lad. luv t, r & b

Please please please report this attack to the police under the Dangerous Dogs Act .. they will probably not want to take the report but you can insist and its a criminal offence ... poor Rocky- at least he survived but imagine if it was a smaller dog or a dog walked by a child and it went for the child 🙁 Please report this before another dog is killed 🙁 J xx

I've read this, I'm very happy thay Carraig has completed your family! He certainly deserves to be a happy boy! I feel the same about my boys... Love them to bits, even if fly has eaten two pairs of mu slippers, my other halfs shoe and various other household items... Including a bag of bright orange pegs!!!! Xxxxxx
