My 13 year old brindle Betsy had exactly the same thing last year and she is still loving life. Hopefully beautiful Lucy will be the same and continue to enjoy her retirement for a long time yet. Big hugs xxxx

It's so important for any dog to have their space respected and that goes for children of any age, and indeed adults too. I STILL have the poster of rules stuck up on my kitchen wall over 2 years after adopting Kevin! It serves as an important reminder to us all, and I also make my children's friends read it so they know not to disturb the dogs when they are eating, sleeping or resting. Good luck Colin xxx

Sadly Lucy's results came back that the mammary tumour removed was cancerous. The vets took away as much as they could and she could still have a while in front of her so I hope so much someone will give her a home for the last and most needy part of her life.
