Hi Ruth, Stan is fine - we are all wrecked! He is starting to settle down now and move at least an inch from my leg. He was as good as gold with Twiggy. You can tell everyone that he hasn't barked very much!!! Pam x

I do feel for Ruth now Ralph has found his forever home as she had fostered him longer than I have Vinnie and they just steal your heart. It will be such a wrench when we find a forever home for Vinnie and I have to keep thinking that maybe (second to the people who eventually take this wonderful dog home with them) Mark and I have given him the gift of finding a happy contented retirement where he will be loved forever. (oh dear, I will have to go and pull myself together he is looking at me as I write this trying to figure out why I am upset) fingers crossed for him x Jenny

Hi Mand You will have to try and keep him away from the walls until it heals. This sort of injury does happen but usually in the kennel where space is limited. Keep it clean and bathe in warm salty water and try to keep him away from the walls until it heals. Anne with Willow did this and prevented a part tail amputation. Ruth puts a curler on the tip and supports this with a bandage until it heals. With Steffano's ‘know how ‘I am sure you will win through. Good Luck Pam x

I will give you a daily cuddle until someone has you. Your story is so sad, I can remember Katie - she was in the caring greyhound hotel for an etternity and has turned out to be the most loving friendly dog anyone could have. Good Luck - i hope someone has you very very soon!!!!

Uh oh, Gent's in the wars. Came home from work this afternoon and he's wagged his tail so much that he's caught it on the door-post and re-decorated the kitchen walls! It looks as though he's smacked the tip, although I can't see the actual cut. I've managed to get him to lie quietly while I pop on some antiseptic spray plaster. The bleeding seems to have stopped, but is there anything else I need to do? I'll keep him quiet tonight, but I don't know how long these things generally takes to heal. Gonna be a struggle to stop him wagging his tail when Daddy gets home from work! Mand x
