I knew I shouldn't have read about Gordon but I did and now I am sitting here sobbing. I love our girlie so much and can't imagine how things could get so bad that she would end up like this when there is so much help available. For Ruth and the team this type of situation must really break your hearts and it makes me admire you even more for the work you do for these wonderful dogs. xx

He looks absolutely gorgeous! Hope he's feeling better soon. He must be stressed at leaving his owner, let alone having most of his teeth out and being in a strange environment. Please give him a big hug from me.

Gordon was quite stressed during the night which is very understandable.... with only a handful of teeth left, he bled quite a bit overnight from his emergency dental yesterday. This morning he is more settled and curled up on the sofa and is great with our 7 greys.

Rosie
I’m Homed
Having thought of a name for Ruby we then found out that her name used at the kennels was Rosie. We have decided to keep that name so that Rosie is familiar with it each day. Our daughter Rachel is 11 yrs and is in a wheelchair. She particularly enjoys seeing her Pet Therapy dogs at her local hospice and gets very excited. Her younger brother Alex is also very excited about our new addition to the family. We can't wait to give her a loving, warm and happy home. Rosie just arrived as we were leaving the Greyhound Trust. As soon as we all saw her she looked lovely, well cared for and a twinkle in her eyes. We knew that she was very special.

This returnee arrived today after being homed in March 2006. His elderly owner unfortunately was no longer able to keep him. I was appalled at the state he was in. I put him straight onto the van and took him to the vets. His teeth were all black and several hanging loose from his gums. He has had an emergency dental this afternoon and hopefully will soon be on the way to better health. We hope someone will give this lad a loving home for the last few years of his life.

Well done Ralph for being so brave and taking it all in your stride. You look so cute in your new pics, if I didn't already have one who was hopping around I'd be sorely tempted! (Don't tell Craig who has to do all the carrying up and down stairs!) Lots of love and hugs, I know you'll be better soon with all the attention you'll get. xx

Just a thought, but if he has 3 legs bandaged up, does that make him temporarily cat friendly?? LOL, wishful thinking! Em xxx

I'm so glad Ralph is soldiering on and looking so well after his big op, I've been thinking of him today but, as usual, they are far more resilient than we give them credit for! Hope he get better very soon, and in the mean time he can enjoy some home comforts at Hotel Boswell while we all do our best to find him his forever home which he thoroughly deserves. Lots of love special boy, Em xxx
