Poor Sadie, she had to go to the vets as she was quite distressed when Jude opened the kennels for me yesterday and must of spent the night leaping around as she appeared very lame. She had a very high temperature so she is now at the Boswell animal hospital and doing much better this morning..... she LOVED her egg on toast!

Hello Sticky. So glad you've found a home. We've been following Sticky's story with special interest as his full sister Ruby (Icemaid Rubie - Rubie on Daybreaks site) joined our family 3 months ago. Ruby and Sticky are the only 2 fawn dogs in the litter and look so alike. Ruby is a lively, friendly dog too, and it looks like she and Sticky have another thing in common as she's a daddy's girl! Maybe they'll meet up again at dog training or on one of the walks?

Hello ladies, thought I would let you know how Sticky is settling in. He was a dream on the way home and we saw just how much he can wag his tail on exploring the house. He has been a star with his toileting and comes bounding inside looking for his treat, so thank you to whoever taught him that one! On his first walk we passed two little white highland terriers which he barely noticed. The walk seemed to do the trick as he slept most of the evening and night, so much so, that we managed to cook and eat our evening meal without him even noticing!

Hi Tracey, apparently Coventry Track may be reopening soon so as soon as it does (if it does), I will contact them as the Greyhound Board have no record of her vaccination unfortunately.

  • Jack (Roly)

    Over the Rainbow Bridge

ROLY - now Jack - Update. What joy this lovely black boy has brought into our home. He sees the cat as part of the family and something to protect (bless). Jack has a mind of his own - if he doesn't want to walk in one particular direction, he has the trick of changing gravity so his feet become glued to the floor, lol. Areas we are working on are: crossing large spaces, meeting people outside the home (he's fine within), going into shops. We've cracked the toileting with Jack, we've just got to train ourselves a little better in watching the time! Now looking for a lady friend for Jack - now we've got one it seems churlish not to help another and of course get Jack some doggy company. He's copying the cat and picking up some strange, undog-like habits, lol. He hasn't started miaowing yet, fortunately. LoL. Thank you Ruth for helping us choose a mutually perfect Grey. xxxxxxxxxxxx

Max went visiting yesterday. We went to see family in Gloucester who have a little yorkie called Simba.Max was wonderful with him, no problems at all. Then my niece came with her 2 black labs. So there were 6 adults & 5 dogs in the house. Max went & quietly lay on the settee in the conservatory,he was so good all day. Everyone fell in love with him. He's just so lovely natured.
