Skip

It was Skip's 10th birthday on the 18th. The weather was too cold to go outside so we stayed in the warm and they all had lots of treats. They had TWO packets of Butternut box food for tea instead of one. Skip is doing well all things considered (cancer aged 4 and a spinal stroke aged 5). He's on plenty of medication to keep him pain free and he has hydrotherapy and physio. He's able to do a couple of 2 mile walks a week with his brother and sister (he prefers sniffinks to walking!!!) He's not playing quite as much as he used to but does have a little run in the garden with Nadie sometimes. I bought home an orthopedic bed for upstairs at night time and he loves the Orvis sofa style dog bed downstairs which we won at Crufts a few years ago.

Chas has gone out on trial today and we hope he settles well. He has been a picky monster and we, as his faithful servants, have been cooking up all sorts of delights to try and get him to eat!!!! Good luck fella.... x

Happy Birthday wishes to our gorgeous Minnie Moose - 6 today! She continues to be as mad as a box of frogs and lives life at 110 miles an hour. Today’s proposed visit to the sand run has been postponed due to the awful weather, she gets really freaked out by the wind so is not a happy bunny at the minute bless her - she is ok if you can show her what is making the noise and she can investigate it ( she learned to ignore the hairdryer this way) but obviously we can’t do that with the howling gales that have been blowing. However, chicken and biscuits are a great distraction! Have a special day our special girl - you may be a bit of a challenge at times but you are so loved and bring so much to our lives. Xxx

Billy is a beautiful big lad....he isn't very happy to be in his kennel and Likes to be out in one of the runs where he can see what's going on. :)) He is very affectionate and loves a cuddle. Hoping it won't be long before he finds his forever home. Xxx

Daybreaks Diary!

I met all our lovely newbies this morning and what an amazing crew they are.Good kennels meant that cleaning was done in record time - well done kids. So, we have a kennels full of brilliant big, black boys! Such beautiful boys who may be big in size, but are so loving and affectionate I just know they would fold up nicely into their forever home space. Our girls are typical girls - small in stature but lively, bouncy and fun!! If you would like to meet any of our boys and girls please give us a call on 0121 782 7702 and make arrangements to come and say hello. Stay safe and warm everyone. Angie x
