Another amazing grey. Really enjoyed walking her today with Cracker. She is so soft and quiet. So tough, my husband loves Kylie, I love Cracker. Hmmmm.

Olive was very shy today when we were at the kennels. Hope somebody has the patience to bring this lovely grey out of her shell!

Got to spend some time with this beautiful boy today. He walked very very well and is such a fun and bouncy boy. He seemed to like Kylie's company a lot. Two very lovely greys. Sigh!

To all greyhound owners. we want to raise awareness of black ice. we took our greys for a walk xmas morning, and there was no white frost on the thick grass. so as it seemed not slippy we took them off for their run. unfortunately there was some black ice on the track around the field and queenie (tilly) slipped and slid into a fence. she has huge trauma to her head which has resulted in her losing her eye site. we have got the vet again tomorrow to see whether the eye has to be removed. we are soooo sad and upset, and wish we hadnt taken her. just be really really carefull of the ground. even if the grass isn't white with frost, in some areas it is still slippy. we are very responsible owners having had greys for 6 years and only take them off when it is safe. but this time we were caught out and will always regret that things are never what they appear to be. PLEASE BE AWARE! please keep fingers crossed for tilly that she will keep her eye even though she is blind in it. from claire and matt.x

He has been left on his own on his bed for a couple of hours today. And he has his muzzle off now in the house with the cat, he's very good so far, can't believe our luck. Thank you Ruth for everything you do for the dogs.xx

Met Jerry and his new mum and dad on Sally's, very cold, Barr Beacon walk today. He is certainly loved to bits. We all walked our Christmas dinner off on the walk. The views were spectacular and Sally and Steve made everyone very welcome. The trust gazebo was decorated in fairy lights and the warm drinks and spendid sandwiches, mince pies and Christmas cake were enjoyed by all. Thanks Sally and Steve for giving up your Boxing Day morning to organise our walk. I am sure everyone who made the effort (some I am sure arrived with a hangover!) on this cold and crispy morning were glad they came Pam x

Mindy I really thought you would have had your slippers on in front of the fire - I know its late in life but please try and become toilet trained so you can have slippers and a fire to sit in front of and have loads of treats.

We had a great day at the kennels - grateful thanks to everyone who came up and helped - especially to Lynn who delivered a full Christmas dinner including veg and gravy for all the greys - they loved it! Joe is still at our house. Not too well today but I have just found him and Rob asleep on the window seat!!!! Merry Christmas to everyone xxxx

Hope this lovely lad is getting better. he has got the best carers possible with ruth and rob. I nearly didn't have a turkey dinner today because as I walked into the kitchen with it on a plate ready for the oven Cara ( Pearl as was) saw me jumped up grabbed the skin around the neck and we had a tug of war across the kitchen, a case of 2 determined woman neither going to give in!!!. Thankfully I won, and she has sulked all day!!! lol. Wishing all the volunteers who have worked over Christmas with the Greys a very happy New Year. YOU ARE GREAT! XXX
