I really want her, but my husband is adamant that 3 dogs would be too much. Maybe our home would be too noisy for her...the right home is out there, but I still feel really sad about it...

In search of some advice here. As amazing as Monty is, he isn't perfect ahaa! We're having a problem with him at night. At first it was only the odd night, but now it's happening almost every single night. He'll go to bed and be fine, but around 2pm (sometimes even earlier) he'll come upstairs. This wouldn't be a problem if my parents allowed him in their room, but they've just had it done out so they can't or he'd wreck it. So the door is shut and he barks and barks. I leave my door open as he usually sleeps on my bed around 7am/during the day, but he doesn't want to lie on my bed, he wants my mum. I sleep very deeply so I never hear any of this, but my mum has to get up three or four times a night. I think she usually gives him something to eat or lets him in the garden, but a few hours later he's back up again. When I get up for school it's fine 'cause he'll come and lie on my bed. But for around 6 hours he's kept my mum awake. We really don't know what to do about it, we think he might just want company but he wants my mums more than anyone elses. I keep hinting we should get him a girlfriend, but my dad is stubborn, like before, and refuses to give in at the moment. His solution is to get rid of Monty, but he knows that would never happen in a million years, and he himself loves him too much to even consider it seriously. So if anyone has any advice on the matter, we really would appreciate it! Thank you. Amy and Helen xxx

Oh no that terrible news! Poor Myles waited ages for his home and now he's back. He's a gorgeous boy and I remember being on walks with him back in the summer, I know a lot of people who wanted to take him home. Really hope he finds a new home soon as he's a truly lovely boy xx

We were fortunate enough to meet Joe when we picked up Ottie a.k.a 'Honey', my 8 year old son fell in love with him but Ruth told us he was not up for rehoming because he was awaiting test results. Since reading the sad news a lot of tears have been shed in our house as we lost our other dog with cancer last year & we know what a difficult time it is for everyone. Our thoughts & prayers are with Joe, Ruth & Rob, it is wonderful that Joe is surrounded by so much TLC right now. Wishing you strength for the days ahead, you are all in our thoughts, Tracey,Michael, Rachel & David & not forgetting our beautiful greys Rebel & Honey xxxxxx

Kay, i have got 3 large male greyhounds and when i decided to bring Kenzie home who is the biggest of the lot i also wondered about having space but amazingly all 3 boys fit into my Rover car (obviously with the seats down) and in the house you don't even know that he is here. the other two just welcomed him into the fold and at the time i also still had my little Monty who was a collie and he loved him too. why not take Ruby and Jojo to meet her and see how they get on? it's worth a try and then you can make your mind up, always best to have a go otherwise you might regret letting her go to someone else and you'll always wonder 'what if' ... love Ina x

Hi Ruth, how big is she? we are concerned about space and whether we would have the time to commit to toilet training as we work full time..., and whether it would be fair on Ruby and Jojo, there is definately something about her, sooo gorgeous! what to you think?x

How sad to read of Joe's plight and how fortunate that he is with the most caring compassionate people I have ever met. x

She learnt toilet training very quickly when she was at our house following her spey. She is back at the kennels now but I am sure she will pick up her training quickly - she is such a clever girl!

Poor Miles, his owner has been admitted to hospital and won't be out for the foreseeable future and the family have asked me to find a new home for him.

Both of you are true stars and do something I certainly couldn't emotionally do. Joe is in the best place possible for him and couldn't be living anywhere better. Our thoughts are always with you at this sad time and kisses for Joe. Amy, Helen, Monty xxx

I am over the moon that 'my' beautiful boy has been picked... you get a soft spot for a certain grey and he is the one at the moment. I can't wait to get to the kennels in the morning to give him a cuddle. He has the most wonderful mum and dad waiting for him!

Ruth and Rob. What would dogs do without you. Joe could not be in better hands. I had a feeling that you would be saying that joe is staying with you. He could not go anywhere better. xxxxx
