Beautiful little Natalie has come home with me tonight. She has been really poorly with a very upset tum all day. She is now tucked up with the fire on to keep her warm. Hope she feels better tomorrow.

Ina, sorry I haven't been here, it's been crazy! Thank you, I couldn't wait to pick him up after camping and he is defo coming with us next time if we can!!! I can't believ it's been...what...nearly a month since we've have Alfie! It's like, as everyone always says, he's been here forever. We really can't imagine what it'd be like without him. He's currently snoozing behind me on his side and taking up the whole of the room! I no longer notice how big he is, until he bounds up to me when i return home from school! He's great fun to walk and is such a good boy with small things, a quick correction and he'll soon forget there was a squirrel there. He's a bit of a tinker though, often taking everyones food and nicking plastic bags that have things in. He ate half my brother tea once and also grabbed a mushroom out of the bin...though he didn't find that tasty at all! He even almost destroyed my little sisters birthday cake!!! But it was saved just in time (; He does need to go to training classes, obviously, but he knows 'wait' and 'bed'. He's a star and I love him to bits!! We're joining you on Sunday for the walk, lets hope the weathers nice and dry. I'm sure he'll be pleased to see everyone and he's very keen on meeting everyone who walks past!! See you all there ! xx

Hello Ann, we now have number three greyhound. we originally adopted Rossi(Everlast la Hoga) last September and i started working at the kennels at weekends about 6 weeks after that and then fell in love with Toby (Rackett Hall Touch) who became ours in January. Rossi was a little jealous at first but he adores having company and they are great together. we still have our 15.5year old Monty dog as well and he has had another lease of life since the greys have been around him. a week and a half ago i took Kenzie home( Clan Royal) and he has settled in lovely. they are all together during the day and have each other for company as i am working all day. Most canines like having canine company as they are essentially pack animals and it generally benefits them to have a companion dog. with regards to grieving when they pass away that is very hard. we lost our Lenny to cancer last year and i was utterly heartbroken and i still miss him every day. the greys have helped me a lot but you don't ever replace the companion you have lost, however i had him from a rescue home where he was on 'death row' and he had a fabulous 10 years with me giving and receiving so much love and happiness and that is how i remember him. ihope that this helps a little with the decision. love Ina x

Hello there We now have two greyhounds, we only wanted one!. We adopted Rose back in March this year, then we felt it would be ideal for Rose to have a companion (James). Earlier this year our mongrel we had for over thirteen years passed away we felt we couldnt have another dog, let alone two as it was too painful to go through the grief. Our two greyhounds are so different in personalities, my main worry was how Rose would react but in fact her personality came out a lot more, she is definately the boss!. They both look after each other and it is so sweet when they have the odd moment rubbing noses!. As for going through the grief, it is very difficult but someone said to me you have to remember what a good life you can give them while they are here. That is what you have to think about in times of grief. Alison, Richard, Rose and James

Guiness (aka Pilgrim) was a very gud boy last nite, loves his bed, did his business outside, just not eating at moment-had 2 mugs of his food with a bit of left over dinner but not interested, gave him weetabix this morning but again not interested. Suppose he will when he's ready.

Yes, I would love to, but it's such a huge step, so many things to think about, what would Willow think, is the car big enough, holidays (taking one grey away is one thing, taking two is a bit different!), is my office big enough (as Willow shares my office at work!!), insurance etc etc etc. SOOO much to think about, don't want to take on a second grey then find I shouldn't have done. Maybe I'm thinking about this too much (plus hearing about poor Pam losing Sammie, do I really want to go through that twice?) Don't know, advice from anyone who had one grey then a second would be much appreciated. Many thanks!!!

Maybe ... but if she's even half as wonderful as Willow she'll be snapped up by some lucky person before she's even unpacked her pyjamas! Perhaps instead of Sporty Spice, she should be Liquorice (All Sport)!!?? Now I'm just being silly! Must stop looking at this site, I can't have another grey........can I........

Red is gorgeous and we are having lots of fun with him. He is really well behaved, very gentle and loving. He's a little timid at the moment, but we are seeing flashes of fun!

my boy is doing so well, although he is a bit clingy as in being a mummy's boy, crying when i am out of sight, but he'll get used to seeing me going in and out as the others don't bother and he will stop it in time. other than that he is wonderful and has stolen my friends' hearts as he is such a sweet gentle boy. his papers will be signed at the weekend and then he'll be called Kenzie Strauss for the rest of his life. i love him to bits. xxxx
