James
Over the Rainbow Bridge
James is trying hard to overcome his "keeness" with other dogs, cats etc.... We have been using the clicker method along with sausage treats, he has had some good days and not so good days but he is so lovely we are determinded to see him through it. It has taken a while to get him into the lounge to sit with us but we finally did at the weekend so he can spend some time with us and Rose. The most memorable moment was at the weekend we managed to get James up the stairs, he got on the bed and fell asleep. Rose was downstairs but when we got James back downstairs a few hours later Rose was clearly overjoyed to see James, we have never seen her so excited. We are so pleased that Rose has taken to James, although she doesnt like him getting in her bed. They are such lovely greyhounds and we hope to go on one of the walks with them soon. We hope the birthday celebrations go well on Saturday.

Good boy Glenny, you are such a beautiful dog and I am so sorry we can't take you home. I am glad you have found a new one though. Ina, like you said, it may be nice for me to walk the greys to help soon ...I will have to see what Mark is working etc. are the walks buggy friendly? So I could bring Evie? I hope it doesn't upset me seeing beautiful doggies!! lots of love xxx

What a shame! But it's great that he's been reserved again, and I'm sure there will be another perfect greyhound for them. Well Done Glen! x

Well unfortunately my husband decided that he was unsure at the moment about house training a dog when we have our baby still crawling around. So as there were doubts for now, and many tears later I called to say we would have to leave Glenny for someone else to love him. Better to decide now than a few months down the line I guess. But we will be back when the time is ready...for now, I am off to cry into my tea! :0( So Sorry guys, you do such a fab job and we will offer a grey a loving home when the time is right. xxx

Hello Jenny! I posted about my visit to Ben in the hope you'd see it. I don't think you need to worry about him, Ben's got a great new home where he's very relaxed and happy. I think everything has worked out just fine for him now, here's to a long and happy retirement for him!

Aww she looks lovely - me and my Mom would like to arrange a visit (to look at Topsy and other doggies) - is it best to phone ahead? We're thinking maybe a week Saturday?

Well done to Donna the nurse at Fivelands vets who managed to work wonders with her coat today while she was an in-patient! What a fabulous and caring service we get. Emma has settled well at ours and wasn't too bothered by the thunderstorm this evening. We put the air con on, and with double Coronation Street she has chilled out! She is back at the kennels tomorrow - we hope someone falls in love with her very soon......
