Ha ha! Yes it was mental yesterday but I LOVED it! However at one point I went into the sand run to see the family reunion of Riley, Murphy and Shadey (3 brothers rehomed by us) I decided to remove the rain water that had collected on the roof of one of the gazebos and ended up with an ice bucket challenge!!!! Luckily we had a spare change of clothes before hypothermia set in! Apart from that it was a truly fantastic day.... I’m still buzzing! Jo - you deserve a medal along with all the fantastic volunteers.... we absolutely couldn’t do it without you. X Very grateful to Rosie for fostering Kiara and Diane for fostering Rocky x

Granite is adorable. Only jus 2, the same age Sam was when we got him. She's related to Sam and Nadie - you can tell as she's so like Nadie. She gives lots of kisses and is a bouncy little girl. If she's anything like Nadie she'll be quite a character but absolutely amazing. I don't think she'll be in kennels for long.

Kiara

Kiara arrived today. We gave her a bath but she was clearly very nervous so we put her in her kennel and wrapped her up in blankets - you could just see her head peeping out resting on a teddy. So sweet. We decided to feed her in her kennel so as not to distress her further and she ate it up. As she's clearly so nervous about her new environment she's gone out to foster where there are 3 other greyhounds to give her confidence.

Daybreaks Diary!

Five new arrivals, three dogs homed, two dogs fostered, a partridge in a pear tree, conveyor belt and a cuddly toy, not to mention sand run, collecting of food and Ruth's nail cutting. Yes, I have seriously lost the plot, although I really would have needed to have it to start with! It was sheer madness today but truly amazing, I am absolutely zorstid! Thanks to everyone for their help and for the constant stream of coffee I was fed! Thanks also to Rosie who came in and made up homing packs for the new arrivals in readiness for them to go off to their forever homes, although one had already gone home! Before I go into the realms of waffling (even more) I will go now and have wine!! X

Over the Rainbow Bridge
I might have drank the milk for mum’s coffee! She was about to pour the coffee in but I came and drank the milk for her first... can’t go to waste! I really wanted the bird seed that the hoomans brought earlier but I wasn’t allowed instead it’s sitting there in a plastic thing in the garden??! We went to the garden centre earlier to look for a few things for the caravan! It was greyt and I was a really goooood boy! 🙂 Lubs Russ Xx

Grace is doing really well loves her brother. She had a difficult spay she lost a lot of blood but has come through the worst and is enjoying life Thanks to all at Daybreaks you are doing a great job
