Ian I am so sorry to hear about Rossi. He was a lovely lad and very much of the greyhound mould, "I will do what you say but only if I feel like doing it, just to let you think you actually are in charge!". We all spent many hours on our dog training and I think it was as much fun for us humans as the dogs. Please give my love to Bev thinking of you both at this sad time. Over the Rainbow Bridge
Today was fantastic! It was my first long drive. We went for a social distanced meet up! I met my new friends Freddie and Bella! I got on so well with them. I was MOSTLY good however I might have stole a sausage off one of the hoomans friends... oops. I’m shattered now! Russ Xx

Haven't had a wink of sleep last few days just worrying sick about Daisy. Every time I think of her I start crying. She is such a sweet character. It's like the nightmare of Bez all over again. Although the weather may be more in her favour I am praying she can find some food & water or may get so tired she will be found by someone nice who can help her. It is so important for all dogs nervous or not to be kept hold off or in another room when the front door is open. It just takes a second. It is heartbreaking when she was slowly gaining some confidence. I will keep praying for a positive outcome and say a prayer for the family.

It is with great sadness that I have to announce that Rossi (Ross) crossed the Rainbow bridge on 8th April 2020 after bravely battling with Lymphoma for the previous 4 months. He may be gone but he will never be forgotten after 8 happy years together.

Doolieve Aero and Ferndale Ella, the two Greyhounds listed as coming soon on 'Our Dogs' since the lockdown will no longer be coming to Daybreaks. Aero has found a home and Ella has gone to a Greyhound Trust branch. Wishing them both happy new lives. Xxx

Sooooooo this coming Wednesday is when we are reopening our doors to some new inmates! Absolutely can’t wait. With the new working guidelines in place we are unfortunately restricted on the number of volunteers and visitors to the site and all visitors- even if it is just for food is via an appointment system so please call us on 0121 782 7702. X

I’ve been looking after Blue since his recent return and he has been absolutely golden however the few teeth he has are not good and I’m concerned they may be causing him discomfort in addition to the fact he squints a lot so therefore on Tuesday he is booked to go to the vets to have both his teeth and eyes looked at.

Daisy unfortunately escaped a few days ago after a delivery man tried to stroke her. She bolted and despite a team of us going out constantly, there have been no sightings whatsoever. If you live in the Rubery area or could like to help, please call me and I can put you in touch with the search coordinator. She is a very nervous girl and we are desperate to find her. Ruth x
