Oh my goodness, where on earth does time go? Our beautiful, bouncy, brave, black beauty Brae is 9 today. To celebrate on this ever so chilly day, along with big fursis Rosie, she'll be enjoying stewing steak for dinner. Each time I go into the kitchen the delicious aroma from the slow cooker excites me, only to realise that John and I will be tucking into beans on toast for our tea! Happy snowy birthday gorgeous, love and hugs from Mom, Dad & Rosie xxx

Sadly neither Saddle or Roy are cat friendly. 🙁 I definitely think it's worth investigating how they get along without each other but having another dog for company. Xxx

Hi, if Roy and Saddle are cat friendly, Sam and I will foster them both until a home comes along that can take them both together x

Further to my earlier comment, I have had a couple of negative comments about splitting the boys up. Since coming home with me, the boys are starting to spend more time separate when chilling and each of them slept separate sides of our bed last night. As I type, Roy is on the sofa and Saddle on the bed on the floor. This separation will only be a trial to see how they get on. If they become distressed at any point, they will be straight back with each other.

Well we sorted out who are the real walkers and who are the fair weather walkers in our family this evening! After tea I stood in the lounge and asked my three lovely doggies "Who wants to go for a walk?"...Fletch (I'll go for a walk anytime) was up and raring to go 🙂 Skip (I'll plod along at the back) and Lyra (I'll sniff every single blade of grass) looked at me as if I had gone completely mad and snuggled further into their beds! :)) Fletch and I had a very nice but very cold walk together; we are made of sterner stuff! 🙂 Xxx

    I’m Homed

So - the brothers, Roy and Saddle, who have never been separated since birth are still at the kennels waiting for their forever home. They arrived at the beginning of January and sadly went out overnight and were returned. Taking on a dog, let along two is a big thing - especially financial. We have been trying to home the boys together and this is proving to be difficult. Therefore I have spoken to a volunteer who is willing to take one of the boys and I will have the other and see how they cope with being separated - although both will have the company of another dog - just not their brother. If this works, they hopefully will have a better chance of finding a home. If it doesn't - we know what we have got to keep trying to find for the boys. I have had both boys at home with me - I cannot fault them at all.... they are already house trained, gentle and good around food, good on the lead, the list of positives is endless. If you would like more information on homing them as a pair or would like to meet them, please call the kennels on 0121 782 7702
