So went to Daybreaks this morning and had lots of lovely cuddles with Auntie Kate! Just as Barney arrived Auntie Ruth came back with loads of heavy sacks of food, Barneys dad helped to unload them - this concerned my mom so she has ordered a folding sack truck for the kennels. She says I am not allowed to play with it between it arriving here and her dropping it in, shame it looks good fun! Had a great time playing in the run with Barney, well to be accurate I we ran round as I barked in his ear! Glad you enjoyed your pamper Barney. Love to all, especially Lula Belle and Rory. Florence xx

How very, very sad for both Lula Belle and her owner. However, there is absolutely no doubt that she will be given the best possible care until it is time for her to grow her wings. Sending everyone concerned a huge hug. xx

Like other comments recently I am in pieces at some of the sad cases I don’t know how Ruth and her team do this but thank goodness you do you are stars. Let’s not also forget the great number of hounds that found their homes this Christmas. I know it’s tough at the moment but you are an amazing team.

How terribly heart breaking to read this, with all the other sad posts lately I am a complete wreck and in tears, so very very sad. God bless Ruth, Andy and everyone at the Trust for their compassion to all these hounds in such difficult circumstances. God bless Lula Belle, she will be so very well looked after until the sad time comes. No xxxxxx

Hello everyone! It was a long morning. The run was great, a lot of fun. Did miss Flloyd though. It was great to see Auntie Kate again, she is wonderful and of course it was lovely to see everyone else. Not sure about one though! She got me all wet and used a loud thing which dried my fur. The bath was quite nice though. Don’t know why but everyone was shocked that I liked it! Unfortunately I couldn’t escape but it wasn’t that bad. I got a biscuit afterwards! Barney Xx

Lula Belle

Yesterday I went out to Lula Belle as I keep a regular check on her as she was with an elderly owner. Daybreaks Trust paid for her to have a major dental in November last year costing over £600 as her owner was unable to afford the treatment. Sadly now she has developed a massive tumour on her back. I took her to the vets yesterday and due to her sad prognosis, she has now been signed back into the Trust. We are going to keep her comfortable until it is time to say goodbye. She has made herself quite at home at ours and giving her as much TLC as possible.

Well one owner not quite awake this morning, couldn’t work out immediately what was wrong. I had put Jed’s coat on Lottie and vice a versa. Now there is quite a difference in build Jed was looking at me as if to say “are you sure about this” and Lottie “my bum is going to get seriously cold in this”

Hi Flloyd it’s ok. We will enjoy our run, it’s a shame you couldn’t come. We will try and meet up on a walk or next time we go to the run! I’ll try to enjoy the pamper but I don’t think I will. I am considering escaping if Florence brings the spade. See you soon Barney Xx
