Jed had a check over by the vet this morning and seems to be recovering albeit slowly. It would appear that he had a severe reaction to something in the anaesthetic which is quite alarming given he was only under for such a short time for an X-ray. The most shocking is that he has managed to loose nearly 3kgs in weight in less than a week and for those who know him he is on the petite side he looks so thin at the moment and I can’t feed him up too quickly even though I would like to.

That sign needs to go Green quick ... Shandy is so good and has been left on her own today for a little while no problem. She certainly knows how to silently sneak up on you though, especially when food is about and I think her favourite hobby is watching us cook lol. She can be very excited on her walks but it is new to her and it is lovely seeing how interested she is in everything and I know with a little bit of training she will take everything in her stride. I am so happy we have made the decision to give Shandy a happy and very lazy retirement.

Benny is really such a super loving lad when I have seen him in his kennel. I’m glad he got the opportunity to go into a home so we can see some more of his character and I really really hope he gets his forever home soon (as I still can’t convince my partner that Benny should be with us) x

It seems that Benny has had a lovely week in a foster home and has shown what a wonderful boy he is - thank you to FebeBebe for giving him the chance to experience a loving family home. Fingers crossed for you Benny for a forever home in time for xmas xxxx

Benny's turn......... There is a dog at Daybreaks, Benny is his name He's waited long and patiently, it's such a crying shame He's seen so many come and go And really does not know Why he is not chosen Why he is not the one to go What he really, really needs is somewhere to call home Somewhere warm and comfy with an occasional jumbone They really do not ask for much, but have so much to give So please that special person give this boy somewhere to live I've seen the gorgeous Benny many many times And if someone gives this boy a home I'll stop these silly rhymes! And if the promise of that doesn't work, I don't know what will. That must be an incentive! Hugs and kisses Benny boy. Xxxxxx

So as we reach the final full day of Bennys time with us. What can we say about the gentle hound.. He is so calm within the house.. loves a fuss..and so good at walk time..waiting nicely to get his coat and lead on. And really good out and about and crossing roads.. His been really wonderful with not only Febe. But also with our 2 girls.

Jed is home again from the vets and looking a little brighter but still has some way to go we are back to the vets tomorrow for a check up. We have had to stop the anti inflammatories until his stomach fully recovers. Fingers crossed he continues to improve.
