It was grandma's funeral yesterday and the captain came and collected me to take me to the wake, there were loads of people so I went round them all for a fuss, I started to lean on them and this lead to lots of walks in the gardens. The captain then appeared with one of those flat white things. A couple of mini bounces got the message through and I got ham and cheese sandwiches! Mom got lots of offers for me but she named a very high price and pointed out it would be cheaper to come to Daybreaks and get their own greyhound. I then fell asleep under under of the tables. Mom and the captain said they were very proud of me and I got a cows ear as a treat! Florence xx

Over the Rainbow Bridge
Tomorrow my beautiful girl will be eleven years old - still turning heads and hearts everywhere she goes. So a big seaside shout out to anyone who remembers her - we had about 30 people and 7 greys to her birthday Foodraiser last week. And a surprise visit from Auntie Linda and Uncle Paul and their gorgeous girls Lena and Peggy. A perfect day. Daisydog says " It's a wonderful life at the seaside - I go everywhere with mum, and always get a biscuit or a piece of cheese. This season I am mostly wearing my liquorice allsorts bandana. Being eleven mum says I will get extra weetabix. So it's all good for us older girls' xxx

I saw Jembob and Casey when they popped into the kennels a couple of Wednesdays ago. The bond between them was obvious so I'm not too surprised to see the red sign! Brilliant news! xx

Luke
Over the Rainbow Bridge
So very sad to read that Luke has gone to Rainbow Bridge. I remember his arrival at the kennels so well when he was in such a sad state and how happy everyone was when he got his lovely new home. I know the time he spent there was very happy and that he was very much loved. Run free and strong Luke with our other Bridge hounds. Sending a massive hug to your family. xx
