Oh my gosh you wouldn't think there was anything as seriously wrong with him how he belts around the place. I'm so glad he's learning manners around food. He does love a good cuddle and a kiss which I so miss from my beautiful boy

I took Tommy to Gladstone Vets in Telford for his cardiology referral this morning. (We waved at Jembob on the M42 on our way!!!) He was so well behaved and had his investigations without sedation which meant I could collect him just after lunch. He has atrial fibrillation but to further determine why his heart is beating all over the place he is going to have a 24 hour heart monitor fitted so I am waiting for the rest of the equipment to arrive so it will be done this week. Once this is sorted we will have a clearer picture of what can be done for him. Although I was told not to exercise him initially, as there is the fear he could literally drop due to strain on the heart, as confirmed by the vet today, we decided it is quality, not quantity, so so he has just been running around the sandrun with my boys!!! I am sure he was smiling as he was running! The vet at Gladstone kindly gave us a 10% discount today because of all we are doing for Tommy and we are desperately grateful for all the donations towards his care. The heart monitor on loan to me is worth £3,000 so I will have to constantly watch him once fitted to make sure he doesn't damage it!!!! He is amazingly well behaved - was great with a small fluffy dog at the vets - even leaves sausages on a plate if we tell him 'no' - in fact other than his arythmic heart - he is absolutely perfect....
