Hi All, its Ripple (or mostly known as Gorgeous Lady). Its my 10th birthday today. I am still enjoying my retirement with Toney at the seaside. I am still very scared of lots of people and children, so its not easy finding quiet walks for me in the summer, but Dad knows some secret places to take us, that are always quiet. Hope everybody at the kennels are well and still finding amazing homes for us Greyhounds. Lots of love Ripple. PS Toney is much nicer to other dogs now, as long as they don't come to close.

Whilst I am so happy that the lovely Mandy has secured herself a new home, I am quite sad that Benny will soon be losing yet another kennel mate. Bless him, he is such a good boy looking after his lady friends and sharing his kennel beautifully with a succession of pretty girlies -let's hope that it will soon be his turn to pack his bags. He gets my cuddle tonight, hang on in there my lovely, it will happen for you. Xxx

Les and I are now Tommy's new mum and dad....he is joining our family of Rossi, Daisy, Darcy all greyhounds and our shi tzu Taz....he has settled in like a dream and we love him very much indeed...????

I had a telephone call today from the specialist at Telford Vets who arranged for Tommy's 24 hour heart monitor. The results of these have to be interpreted by a specific veterinary cardiologist and unfortunately the cardiologist himself has undergone a heart transplant!!!!! Therefore, due to technicalities, the heart monitor needs to be done again and this is going to be arranged at a specialist centre in Derby where Tommy is currently being fostered. Tommy is doing fantastic in his foster home - so much so that Ina (many of you will know or remember her) and her partner have offered Tommy a forever home despite his problems. I am over the moon that there are people out there, kind enough to take on a potentially very poorly boy - this is one of the high moments of the work I do at the kennels xxxxx

It was a pleasure and delight to work with you all and see the great improvement in Casey. My own vet always says if a vet can't diagnose the problem then have your dog checked by a chiropractor or osteopath - in my experience that usually finds the problem and my vet also does chiropractic manipulation so I trust him to follow his advice. Our dogs are athletes so can carry an old injury or just the accumulation of a hard career as a race dog so the more we can ease the effects of this the better our dogs will feel and hopefully will avoid many of the problems of old age such as arthritis. Wendy is a McTimoney chiropractor in Bromsgrove and has treated many Greyhounds as well as other breeds 🙂 My vet also recommends raw food as the natural food of dogs, I started feeding raw as he treated one of my dogs for an aggressive malignant tumour and that was a huge part of his successful treatment 🙂 . As has been said - our dogs aren't used to being disturbed when sleeping so we always recommend you call your dog to you rather than risk startling them 🙂 Brilliant to see the very happy Casey at training class, thanks again to Ruth, Jo from Head Office who agreed to let us work with Casey and of course Jembob and Julie 🙂 x

Another cuddle for cute Kitty tonight. George was a little nervous about coming out of his kennel for dinner this afternoon. She jumped on the bed gave him a kiss or two and they came out together! So sweet. Xxx
