I agree with Caro. The 'oldies' are the best!! My girl is coming ten...adopted when she was six. Seeing their character develop is wonderful. She still has an amazing zest for life and adopting her was the best decision I ever made. Good Luck Ella...such a sweetie 🙂 xx

Casey
Over the Rainbow Bridge
Casey took us to the Evesham walk on Sunday. It was a most enjoyable morning out and I would encourage other hounds to take their families along to these regular events. Casey clearly benefitted from spending time with other hounds again, although he didn’t get to sample any of the lovely lemon cake that was available at the end. ? As with many hounds that are just learning about the outside world, Casey enjoys new experiences and is very curious about most things. It was interesting to see how he reacted to other breeds of dog while in a pack of hounds – much calmer than normal so I suspect that we are the ones who need more training, not him! Back home, Sir spent much of the afternoon sleeping or rolling around on the back lawn. Special treat was some left over beef cheek from our dinner. Lucky hound!

Please prospective owners do not be put off by a dog who is perhaps deemed middle aged. My two greys are 7 and 9 and still have a zest for life. There is nothing more rewarding than giving a dog who has spent most of their years in a kennel environment a proper home and seeing their joy in the most simplest of things. Please do not over look Ella spend some time with her.
