Sending my cuddle to Coffey tonight too. We had a very scary incident with him this morning when he managed to get a back leg stuck in the bars of the door to his kennel! Thankfully we were able to free him without him breaking anything or biting us. He was a very frightened boy. He was quite happy to have a pigs ear after his ordeal. Ruth, Lisa and myself could have done with something a little stronger! Phew! Xxx

Lady came out for a walk with us on Saturday and was a treat to be with. She is a delightful hound and should really have a proper home by now. Quite difficult to understand why she is still at DB.

Hey beautiful Maggie, what a fabulous coat you have. You have the same dad as our little girl Brae. She has her paws crossed that you get your own sofa & family to spoil you very soon. Big hugs little stunner xxxx

Ladysmith
Over the Rainbow Bridge
Said hello to Alan and Ladysmith on the Stratford Walk yesterday and saw her again today at kennels for a long nose stroke. Then Simon took her and Sammy on a walk while I sorted out Evie's paperwork and some more kibble. She really is a loving, affectionate girl.

Peggy
I’m Homed
Our Peggy has had a busy weekend. Saturday morning she went to training class as normal (she is learning really quickly) and on Saturday afternoon she went to her first roadshow at Melbicks. It was just for an hour to see how she would take to it. We were very pleased with her... ok she could hear the squeaky toys being tested in the pet shop and was very interested but she wasn't upset and greeted some of the Melbicks shoppers with her usual enthusiasm! She saw some smaller dogs too and was fine. On Sunday she went to her first greyhound walk at Stratford where she met some of her greyhound friends and also got up close and personal with a trainee guide dog puppy! She seemed to like the company on the walk and as usual she was very interested in everything that was going on..... a real tourist! She even stopped to try to help a lovely couple doing some work in their front garden and a man washing his car also caught her attention. He must have looked like he needed her help too! All in all a successful and busy weekend and tonight she's had some lovely dreams while we all chilled out! All in all a great weekend. Kisses from a very tired Peggy xxx

We took Snap on the Stratford Walk today and he was a very good boy. He travelled well in the car and enjoyed being with all his greyhound buddies. He didn't mind standing around beforehand and enjoyed walking at the front of the group. He has been with us for 24 hours and is doing brilliantly with his mealtimes, eye drops and letting us know when he wants to go into the back garden. He and Gigi are getting along nicely. He likes being with us especially in the kitchen and also in his bed when we are watching a film.
