Lovely Lady is coming to join our family in Somerset on Saturday. Sooooooo excited!!! She'll be living with crazy Daisy our Old English sheepdog and hopefully, as they're both full of beans, they'll wear each other out 😀

Coffey's prospective owners are desperate to take him home but are not able to at the moment. We have agreed to give them some extra time but hope he will soon be in his forever home. Xxx

Extra big cuddles to this gorgeous boy today. He was so much brighter this morning, and the swelling has started to reduce, so fingers crossed he is on the road to recovery. xxx

Snap, sounds like you had a lovely day out today with your kennel mate Lucy and your pals Jeremy & Julie. My boy, you really deserve your own sofa now - fingers crossed you (and the lovely Lucy) don't have to wait too much longer. xx

Jembob, huge thanks for taking the lovely couple out for a treat today. Lucy is gorgeous, and I really cant understand why she has been overlooked for so long. At least now we can tell prospective adopters just how well she will fit in within a home environment - she really deserves her chance now. Sleep well poppet, sweet dreams. xx

We have been fortunate enough to spend much of the day with Snap & Lucy. This morning we took them to Bruton Park where both of them received a lot of attention from passers by. Both are perfectly behaved behaved with other dogs, large or small. Snap takes everything in his majestic stride and is such an easy hound to walk. Rather than heading straight back to the kennels, we all went back to our house for a rest and something to eat. We were not sure what to expect from these two as we believed this to be their first home visit. Snap clearly enjoys being in a domestic setting and settled very well. Anybody that knows Snap will know that he loves a quick kip. Today was no exception and I am relieved that he did not discover how to get on to the sofa as he would probably still be asleep there. After watching Lucy go up stairs, Snap decided to give it a try but in a less convincing way. He stuttered half way up and did his Bambi impression until he regained his confidence. Both hounds had to be carried down! Snap certainly benefits from having Lucy around and was a wonderful house guest.

We have been fortunate enough to spend much of the day with Snap & Lucy. This morning we took them to Bruton Park where both of them received a lot of attention from passers by. Both are perfectly behaved with other dogs, large or small. Lucy seems to be getting used to going out to different places and really seemed to enjoy herself. Rather than heading straight back to the kennels, we all went back to our house for a rest and something to eat. We were not sure what to expect from these two as we believed this to be their first home visit. Lucy was a revelation and settled in within minutes. Out of kennels she is a complete fuss monster and enjoys being involved with everything. She saw Julie go up stairs and followed without hesitation. No issues at all and perfectly behaved. The only black mark was that she pinched some of Snap’s lunch while he wasn’t looking! Lucy exceeded our expectations today a showed us what a wonderful family member she would be. She’ll sleep well tonight.
