It was 2 years ago today that I spotted them as they walked through the Daybreaks gate & I thought "they look like they need fostering". So, after a while of cuddling & tickling ears/belly (mine not theirs), I signed my paw on the foster form & brought them to a place to be called 'home'. For 2 legged creatures they were well behaved, very polite, accommodating and provided treats, meals, cuddles, sofa space etc at the meer sight of my chocolate brown eyes, so by day 2 I reckoned they were 'keepers'. I dragged the fostering malarky out for a whole month (just to make sure they didn't have any bad habits or needed retraining), but as the days went on and my paws got further and further 'under the table' & imprinted on their very soft hearts, it was a done deal that I'd accept them into my life. I'm the cause of several gasps, tears, sleepless nights, the purchase of new quilts, daily hoovering & Mom even has a seat reserved at the vet, but on the plus side, I make them smile & laugh every day, help with digging the garden, distributing soil whether it's dry or muddy, keep them fit by walking & WALKING twice daily, greet visitors warmly with licks & kisses and make sure there's never any out of date yoghurt in the fridge! I have the bestest big sis in Rosie and just want to Thank everyone at Daybreaks for introducing me to my smitten family. Big hugs, Brae xxxx

Hi beautiful Lady, You my gorgeous girl just have to get our big family cuddle today. I had the pleasure of meeting you a couple of months ago as Uncle Norman brought you back from a trip to the park and you melted my heart as you gently put your head on my lap for a snuggle. We're keeping fingers & paws crossed that your new family (although they don't know it yet!) are soon to walk through the new Daybreaks gate and their hearts will melt too. xxxx

Does anyone else have a dog that drapes itself across you upside down like a pair of bagpipes? Sat watching TV with Ron on the sofa, he is upside down with both of his front legs stretched right out across me with his feet across my face!! I'm scared to move him incase he is full of air!! Love this boy xxx

It's been a late finish for us today as Lady has just been returned after being homed this afternoon. Her new owner was understandably too upset to bring her into the kennels but felt is was the right decision which we support. A family member told us that she had become very excited in the garden and frightened the younger family members because of this. Lady is our longest stayer and we are desperate to find this little girl a home. If you would like more information about her, please do not hesitate to give us a call at the kennels.
