Aahh! Now it makes sense. When we went to get Dex for his walk this morning he was most reluctant for us to put his coat on. He lay on his tummy and did his best to make things hard for us 🙂 Once out, he was great today. We had a lovely but chilly time in the park and we made it all the way around the lake as well as the nature park. He was happy to meet all strangers and thoroughly enjoyed himself. We stopped off at our house for a coffee and Sir made himself at home. After a quick inspection of the garden he helped himself to water and treats then headed to his favourite spot at the bottom of the stairs where he promptly went to sleep! We do love this hound.

Dex ate all his breakfast today!...He did have some extras with his Muesli; a tin of Mackerel in sunflower oil....what a good lad! Personally I prefer Farleys Rusks or Co-Co pops! 🙂 Many thanks to Jembob for taking Dex out for a trip to the park this morning. Xxx

So very sad about Mabel. We were there when she left for her new home and both her and her new owner were so happy. Gone to the Bridge far to soon but knowing loads of love in the time she spent with her family. Run free Mabel. xx

As Kate mentioned in the diary update yesterday, poor Penny was bitten in the night by her kennel mate. I took her to Fivelands and they stitched her up and speyed her at the same time. She had a very settled night last night and this morning pottered around the garden and enjoyed some ham with her tablets..... lots of ham..... as she quickly learnt the knack of eeking out the tablet and spitting it on to the floor and scoffing the ham ha ha! She is adorable and I think will be my house guest until she finds a forever home. As I am away for a couple of days at the beginning of next week, I am appealing for a foster home for her just for a few days - if you think you could help, please give me a call at the kennels! She gets my virtual and real cuddle today! Ruth
