I hadn't seen much of Danny until he came out for a walk with me and Lady today. He is a very friendly and loveable hound and should fit in really easily with a very lucky family. I have also established that he is very keen on a tasty treat.

Jembob, thanks for taking him out, only you could manage to take him out just as his two least favourite things happened. Mobility scooters and fireworks, but he knew he was safe in your hands and as Ladyvictoria says, would be even better on your sofa 🙂

Lady has the most active ears I've seen on a greyhound. Most enjoyable to take out on a walk and very easy going.

Jembob, wish Dex was stretched out on your sofa instead of his kennel bed! :)) Xxx

Arrived at DB today to see this little beauty being bathed. Lovely, lovely hound that should be rehomed in no time.

    I’m Homed

It was one of those days today! After a miserable start to the day, this afternoon turned out to be gloriously autumnal. By the time I arrived at DB today, Dex was already enjoying himself in the sand run with John so I took Danny and Lady out for a walk. What an absolute joy to take out such a lovely coupke of hounds - both completely lovable but each in their own way. The sun was shining brightly so I decided to take Dex for a quick outing. Old Damson Lane was really busy so we headed off across the fields and watched the A380 blasting off from the airport. On the way back to DB, some pea brain decided that it would be a good idea to set off a multi-barage set of fireworks and Dex was a little spooked. After a brief pause we managed to compose ourselves but then were almost run over by a gentleman on a mobility scooter!!! You have to laugh but we headed for home ASAP. Back at the kennels, Dex enjoyed some Liver & Garlic Atomic Drops acquired at the show last week. By the time I left, Sir was stretched out on his bed and rapidly drifting off. Normal service was resumed.

Hi, Mark's new owners here. He's settling in beautifully, fast asleep by the radiator and showing no interest in our cat (phew!) Many thanks to all at Daybreak for the help and advice and allowing us to bring this beautiful fella into our family xxx

Please prospective owners do not be put off if dogs are a little shy in coming forward to you spend some time with them before moving on to the next kennel. My dog Jed is a little like Ronny did not put himself forward but he is a super lad, goes on awareness days and even visits care homes as a therapy dog. Bringing a dog out of its 'shell' is one of the most rewarding things you can do.
