Mister
I’m Homed
I was lucky enough to take Mister on the walk through Brueton Park. Although he was interested in everything, we had no problems with other dogs, including one who ran up to him off the lead. It took him a while to get to know me, but we had the most lovely cuddle over coffee at the tea rooms where he behaved very well. On his return to the kennels his affection for the staff there was obvious, and his amazing helicopter tail was whizzing round. He is the most handsome chap and just needs someone to give him the chance to get to know them. Well done Mister, I've given you my cuddle today x

Ranger
I’m Homed
Well Ranger, you were such a good boy at Brueton park today, you travelled great in the car with Cody and had no troubles jumping in! When we first arrived you were reactive to other breeds running in the distance, but once we were walking and you managed to see that they were actually dogs you were great! We ended up walking with lots of small fluffies and you didn't bat an eyelid! I really hope someone comes along and offers you a home where they can take you out in the world so you can be more relaxed out and about. See you Tuesday! Xxxx

Cody
I’m Homed
My mum had little Cody on the walk in Brueton Park today, she was really good! She travelled well in the car, she was a little unsure about getting in but with a little encouragement soon jumped in on her own. She was great with all sizes of dogs that we saw, although we didn't end up meeting any face to face today. She really is a beautiful girl and I hope her forever home is around the corner. Xxxx

Cally
I’m Homed
We have had a lovely weekend with the beautiful little Cally. One of our longest stayers, she hasn't had much opportunity to go out and about into the big, wide world. This weekend was something of a sensory overload for her! Starting with her introduction to a house, she loudly sniffed absolutely everything and had us smiling as she couldn't quite work out who that dog reflected in the TV screen was!! She was clean in the house, in the day and overnight, and let us know by walking to the back door that she needed to go out. The outside world is something of a scary place at the moment, she is quite wary of everything around her and is a little unsure of herself - but she couldn't stop that tail wagging in delight when she saw you or got some praise. She was great at Brueton Park this morning, she seems to gain confidence walking in a group. She was happier with the larger other breeds, the small fluffies really sparking her interest, but there is no aggression just a keenness to see what it is. In the right home this beautiful girl will flourish, and I think there is a playful little girl hidden away in there. Sleep well tonight sweetheart, you've had a very busy time but have done so well. Big cuddles xxxxxxx

Socks
Over the Rainbow Bridge
I had the pleasure of taking Socks on the walk today. She is such an affectionate girl and was so happy to be out and about. She was perfect in the park and loved accepting fuss from everyone who offered it. Actually, if they didn't offer her fuss, she demanded it by leaning on them and giving them a not so gentle nudge now and then! I took her into Solihull afterwards, where she behaved impeccably again, both in and out of shops. My mom waited outside with Socks when she couldn't come in the shop and Socks decided to rest her head on her knee and lean against her until we set off again. She is absolutely adorable and is going to make someone a fabulous pet. I really have my fingers crossed for her.

Tam
I’m Homed
I had the pleasure of taking Tam to the Bruton Park walk today and to say he was a pleasure is just not enough. This boy is an absolute joy to be with.He was pleased to see everyone he met often giving kisses and enjoying lots of fuss.He walked well in the park, easy on the lead and he was happy to meet any dogs that came his way.He showed the same happy friendly attitude to greyhounds and non greyhounds, even wanting to play with a staffie along the way. He got a little excited seeing dogs off the lead in the distance but he will get used to this with every trip he makes into the big wide world. When we got back to Daybreaks I reluctantly put you back in your kennel and stayed for some more kisses and cuddles. This boy is just super, whoever adopts him will be getting a wonderful loving companion xx

I was taken for a lovely walk in Brueton Park this morning by May. She was a bit head strong to start with and interested in fluffies running about, but did settle towards the end. Wishing her lots of luck in her new home x x x

Cally
I’m Homed
"Morning all, Cally here. Well, I am up and waiting for my breakfast, then it will be time to head off to join all my pals for a walk in Brueton Park. I am having a little holibobs with Shanesmum in her house. It was quite strange at first when I got here yesterday so I had a good old sniff round to check everything out. Later on we went for a walk round the lakes. It was huge & there was so much to look at, big birds, people hitting balls with sticks I didn't know where to look first! In the afternoon we had another walk a different way and we saw some horses - I was very curious about them but they just looked at me and munched on their hay so I carried on walking. I was a good girl overnight, no accidents at all, and go to the back door when I need to go out. Shanesmum says I just need to build my confidence and get used to all the new sights and sounds of the outside world. I get nice little cheesy treats when I am a good girl, and we have had lovely snuggles and kisses. I think I would quite like to be in a home all the time now, so don't forget to come and look at me in my kennel, I am quiet so you might not notice me. Must rest up now ready for the rest of my weekend adventure. Big woofs from Cally xxx"

Jed
Over the Rainbow Bridge
Well Jed's corn has been removed and he has also had his back, stifle and hocks x-rayed all show no arthritis or in fact any joint degeneration at all so the limping was just down to the corn. For those who know Jed it's hard to believe that he had a racing history as he is so quiet, however now the corn is off the speedy version has materialized, the vet wanted me to keep his plastic boot on whilst in the garden, well no chance it's gone flying in the air at least 5 times so far!!
