So happy for Percy! He really sold himself today by showing everyone how to dig a hole in the sand run big enough to bury his favourite toy...it was so sweet to see him using his nose to gently cover it over with sand to save it for later! 🙂 Xxx

Sending my cuddle to Paul tonight...poor lad was very stressed to find himself back in the kennels today. 🙁 He is very handsome and affectionate. Do hope he won't have to wait too long for a new home. Xxx

Zak spent the day at the kennels yesterday in the kitchen, and to be honest you wouldn't have known he was there. He is such a quiet boy, who looks right at you and will offer his paw. He let us know when he needed to go out, and was happy to lie upside down on the bed, legs splayed, until called. Fingers crossed that a new sofa is just around the corner for this beautiful boy. xxxxx

Met this lovely boy this morning. Understandably a little bewildered about what was happening to him, he is very friendly and enjoyed his walk out with the group, walking nicely on his lead. He is a big boy, and to look at is so reminiscent of our Shane with his beautiful fawn patches. I really hope that a new home comes along very soon for him. Big cuddles. xxxx

Had a lovely walk this morning with the very gorgeous Tam. Initially very excited to get his lead on (I certainly don't need a wash now as I have been kissed & licked to within an inch of my life!!!) he walks nicely when out and is a very happy, waggy tailed boy. Thank you for a lovely walk this morning sweetheart, sleep well. xxxx

Sadly Paul has been returned today as he is too boisterous around the grandchildren. He is one very big, happy boy and would suit a home with older children.

Neval
I’m Homed
I am so sad when I see dogs being returned. We homed Walter 3 years ago & felt a bit daunted to start with but help was on hand & we have never looked back. Last year we had a new boy who suffered from terrible separation anxiety to start with but we overcame it. It was very different as Walt had never shown any signs of separation anxiety so we were complete novices but there is always advice on hand so you aren't just expected to cope alone. We had to make some adjustments to make it work but we felt that was part of the committment. These things take time but Ernie overcame it and is such a lovely boy he was worth it. I hope seeing that Neval has had a bit of anxiety won't put people off. He sounds gorgeous in every way & I can say from experience that it is so rewarding when they finally realise it's all going to be ok & this amazing new home they have found is for keeps. These amazing dogs pay you back ten times over for the patience you give them. I am always looking & wishing I could home another one. If I had room for a third I would be round in a flash! I hope you are snoozing on a sofa somewhere very soon Neval. X

I did think the exact same thing. I wish that this didn't happen because I have ended out with 3 that are returnees, who I love to bits. But it makes me so sad to see this. Wish I could have them all. Xxxx good luck mate. Xxxxxxxxx

Foxy
Over the Rainbow Bridge
Thank you to everyone for your concern over Foxy. His blood tests came back mainly showing anaemia. I have got some more medication to collect today and have the task of collecting a urine sample to drop in at the vets to try and find out what is the cause of his weight loss.

Zak (Magic)
I’m Homed
I brought Zak home with me yesterday after he spent the afternoon in the office. To say he feels like part of the furniture already is an understatement! He really is the most adorable boy who is gentle on the lead and travelled well in the car. I thought he would go crazy over our chickens and ducks that were wandering around our garden when we arrived home but he even met nose to nose with one chuck and she is still here to tell the tale! He has slept downstairs keeping Coilean company. He has cried softly for around the last hour (which is understandable as he is in a strange new place) but other than that has had a very settled night and no accidents. I really hope we can find him a home as soon as possible - he has got a smart new collar (couldn't resist) and really is one handsome boy! <3
