I took Skye to the vets this afternoon as her vaccination was out of date. She travelled well and was golden at the vets. She will be back there in a few weeks for the second part of her course and hope that on the way back we may have to detour via the park!!!!

I am desperate to find a foster or more happily a permanent home for Saffy. She has been reviewed on a continuous basis at the vets since she arrived several months ago as she has been having accidents with wetting her bed and medication has had no effect whatsoever. I remember we had a greyhound in many years ago who did this and as soon as he went to a home, he stopped..... If you think you have the tolerance, patience and ability to be able to help this beautiful girl please give us a call at the kennels. I desperately hope because of this current unfortunate problem she doesn't end up spending her life at Daybreaks - as much as we love her - it is not a retirement we plan for her.

I took this little sweetheart to the vets today for a review. She has a condition called hyperkeratosis which makes her pads and nose look 'crusty'. Her nose and feet are looking so much better as she has been on a long course of steroids which are now going to be reduced. She has started to lose a little weight and her heart rate has slowed but this could be a side effect of the medication she has been on. This lovely sweet natured girl just needs a home where she can be loved and enjoy her retirement.
