I told you that you wouldn't have to wait long darling girl. I loved all the cuddles & kisses you gave me the other day. If I could have you as well as every one else I would. Oh well, you never know.. The lottery might still come up trumps. Enjoy your foster home & be a good girl. Lots of hugs Seana, Mel, Archie & Henry xxxx

I didn't see the negative comments so can't comment about that, but just wanted to say I agree with Caro. Orla was found as a street stray and had a big mammary tumour when she was caught. I was told by the vet that it was because she was an older bitch that hadn't been spayed. She was a very lucky girl!! As for Pyometras.....had a bitch with that and it was absolutely horrendous! That poor girl was not as lucky as Orla. It is very sad when something happens, but we all know that EVERY op is a risk. Once again, thinking of Coral's (foster) parents and all who love her ((xx)) Run free precious girl xxx

Happy Birthday to our big Sh*t, aka Pinkleberry Paddlepaws Fire Prince Haden. What is it, three years now and you are finally settling down. Phew. Sparky seems to be trying to take over your mantle of being the sod of the evening. You are a great guard dog and you are our big sh*t and we love you.

I have taken photographs of toms injuries. I did tell the owner that he was wrong to kick our dog and he said "what did you expect"!!! He also said I couldn'the control the dog and he should be muzzled. I haven'told the police,,I was very surprised when they came round tonight as I really thought that their cat was okay bug they said he has got a puncture wound and is on a drip. As far as I know I'm the only person who saw it happen from the start and all the neighbours who came out are definitely of the opinion tom is a dangerous dog. I will have to wait and see if anything comes of it but I know what happened. If tom had attacked the cat whilst on the lead I wouldhave paid the vets bill but he was the victim although it sounds like the cat came out of it worse off.

Get statements from all who came out to help you as well this would be a good idea.

Firstly and most importantly, how is Tom now? Surely this is 6 of one and half a dozen of the other as you've both had to visit the vets and pay for treatment following this very unfortunate incident. Instinct kicks in when you're under attack but this doesn't make Tom a dangerous dog. Sounds like the cat owner is just letting off steam and I would be firmly pointing out that he is the 'dangerous one' for kicking at your lovely boy. Rightly or wrongly, the cat owner would have felt the full force of my boot had he kicked (or attempted to kick) either of mine. Can you speak to any of the people who came running out when the incident occurred? It shakes everyone up when something like this happens. Do contact the police to report the incident and get the incident number. Tell the police that the owner kicked out at Tom. Take photos of the injuries that Tom has sustained and keep all the paperwork you have relating to his visit to the vet. You witnessed this attack but did the cats' owner? Has the cat attacked other dogs before? Please keep us informed what if anything happens. Tash x

Hi - i have never been in this situation but as a precaution i would take photographs of Tom as well as his mouth showing that he has not grabbed at anything and report the incident to the police yourself. Also any statements or reports from your own vet will be useful. Am sure others will have good advice but just aware that it is best to report any potential incidents in case of repercussions.

Hi just need some advice if anyone can help. On Wednesday I walked tom and we came across a cat. Tom was on the lead and was not showing any interest in the cat but the cat jumped off the wall and came after him and attacked him and jumped at his face!!! I couldn't get the cat off and people came running out of the houses as I was screaming and the cats owner started kicking at tom even after the cat ran off. I took tom home and went back to the house the man told me the cats mouth was bleedingso he was taking it to the vets. I thought that would be due to where the cat had attached itself to toms neck and proceeded to cause two deep puncture wounds for which the vet has prescribed antibiotics. Anyway tonight the cats owners have been around saying tom nearly killed the cat and they will report us for having a dangerous dog and that we should pay their vets bill! Where do we stand? Tom has not shown aggression before,he was on the lead and this crazy cat genuinely came after tom and attacked him. I am really worried about what will happen.has anyone been in this position before?

Please do not be put off by having dogs spayed in light of Corals tragic story as with any procedure there is always a risk, however the risk is very small and the benefits out way this. I worked in a veterinary practice for 11 years and saw numerous Pyometras which is an infection of the womb, which affects unspayed older dogs when the GA risk is therefore much higher, this condition is totally preventable with spaying but is life threatening, also neutered bitches have a lower risk from mamory tumours as well. This is in addition to preventing unwanted litters. It is terribly sad for Corals foster parents and negative comments really are unnecessary and extremely upsetting to all concerned those responsible should be ashamed of themselves.

This morning I discovered a mischievous habit that this pretty little girl has - picking the water bowl out of the stand, spilling water everywhere and running off with it!! She must have learned this from the master, the lovely Josh, or is it just something that these gorgeous boys & girls enjoy doing?! Megan is tiny, so affectionate she actually puts her front legs around you in a proper hug, and is a real delight just wanting to play and have fun. Big cuddles for you today. xxxxxx

I put Josh in the outside run this morning whilst I cleaned out his kennel and got his breakfast ready. Well, I was obviously taking too long over it because he decided to pull down the blanket that had been hung over the bars to dry, spread it out and promptly lay down on it!!! This boy is such a character, he is full of fun and loves to play and be just a bit mischievous!! All he needs is a home to call his own. Cuddles handsome. xxxxx
