Sorry to ask this so soon, but just wondering. In light of this tragic news, do you have regular dates that the pet blood bank come in. I have looked on the Daybreaks calendar but cannot see anything there. I feel that there are lots of us out here who would like our hounds to be able to help others if they can. If you don't have regular visits could it be something that could possibly be arranged? Jo X.

It is with a heavy heart that I have to write this post. We picked up Coral (aka Bella-Boo) on Saturday from Perry Barr and she spent two and a half great days with us. We took her to the vets to be spayed yesterday and all seemed fine last night. However, today it became apparent that all was not well and we took Bella back to the vet. One of our other greyhounds kindly stepped forward and donated some blood for her, but sadly it was not enough and she slipped away this evening. To say we are devastated is an understatement. Bella was the dog that was going to make us failed foster parents. She will come home to us to be buried in the garden with our first greyhound, Flye. However upset we feel at the moment, we must not give up as there are so many greyhounds out there like Bella who need our help. Perry Barr RGT do such fantastic work; we are just a small part of the unsung heroes who work day-in-day-out to help these wonderful animals. RIP Bella-Boo x

What a cute little girl! Walked her this morning and although a bit lively to start with she soon settled down. I'm absolutely sure the bald spot on her little head won't stop her getting snapped up very soon.
