Paddy
Over the Rainbow Bridge
Well we have had our wonderful Paddy - laid back with a bit of naughtiness for 6 months now and he's fitted into our lives so well.We just love him so much! Love the way he coutersurfs for food when he thinks we're not looking and pinching things out of our shopping bags to take to his bed..to the cheeky way he barks when he wants something from the treat cupboard.Love the nose snuffle kisses and the little nose nips he gives us (if we don't move quick enough!)when he's playing. He loves company, his sisfur Ele,no problems with other dogs and he adores his food.A special mention to Norman who always said that Paddy would make a great pet...well he's proved you right and also of course to Daybreaks for this gorgeous boy. Paddy we are so very proud of you! Love Mommy Daddy and sisfur Ele xxxx

Cinders, I used to give my little ted, the very soft chicken chews (meaty chews) but only half at a time, also which he loved I would give him half dairylea cheese triangle and also arrowroot biscuits but again only half at a time. I also boiled whole fresh chicken for him with vegs, he was not given the skin from chicken as my vet advised me to just feed him the meat not the skin. As a weekend treat he would also have just the egg custard (not the pastry) from a custard tart, his pals would stand waiting patiently for the pastry from the custard tart. I hope this helps, u and evie. (P.S. I read further down someone saying about cooking the raw tripe I really wouldn't cook it, It is recommended to be fed raw)

Harry

Harry is a real fusspot and loves to lean. Poor lad has been quite stressed since arriving back at the kennels but has been more settled the last few days. Hope he won't have to wait too long for a new home. Xxx

Billy
I’m Homed
Wishing Billy a very happy new life! He was so excited about going home today. When he left the kennels he dived into the back of a car...but not his own! So funny to see him sit down next to the Greyhound who was in there. He was just as happy to get out and jump into the right car! Do hope all goes well for Billy, he has been a real pleasure to look after. Xxx

It does have the worst smell doesn't it?! Evi did eat a bit but seemed a little suspicious - maybe she has just got to get used to it! By the way, those of you that have mentioned that you have experience of dogs with kidney problems like "sebby" - did you manage to find any treats that were suitable for your greyhound? Evi always used to get a dentastick or something like that in the evening but I don't want to give her many things like that now. Nothing with high salt content like pigs ears or anything like that. I have the additional problem that she can't chew very well as she hardly has any teeth so a lot of the natural hard chews are out of the question too! I just feel bad that she may have to forego some of the things she used to enjoy xx

Hi Cinders After reading all the posts re the tripe we remembered we had a bag of the Natures Menu in our freezer so got a bit out for our 2 greys tea to mix with their fresh chicken/Burns Tried it raw this time rather than cooked as I hate the smell when its cooking! Think ours prefer it cooked tho !! Guess I will still have to put a peg on my nose !! Wishing you all the best..you're doing just great trying everything x x x x
