Just caught up with what is happening. Ruth and Rob, massive hugs to you at this sad time. You of all people know, however hard the decision, when the time has come. Wishing Basil Boswell a peaceful passing to the bridge, taking with him the love of a special family (humans and hounds).

Dont know if i'm doing this right, but hope you get to see this comment!! We have had Kizzie now for two weeks, and she is fabulous, she has settled in amazingly, loves her new brother billy, even torments him!!, lol She gets on great with our two older cockers, but the youngster we are introducing slowly as shes' a bit mad! She likes sitting on the settee watching the telly and has been as good as gold whilst we have been out of the house, but she does always have the company of billy. We love her to bits xx

She is a card. Loves her cuddles and strokes and if you stop you get nudged. Continually after treats - you'd think she was starving. Just about gets her nose in my pockets - knows me well though as generally there are treats although she did end up with a tissue the other day. Ax

So much for a party - Stanley hurt his foot again or stepped funny - wonder if he is getting rheumatism? His right front paw although he let Tim bath it for him. Tim getting some tablets from vets which he had last time which helped. Semi ran to greet me so can't be too bad. His sister Gemma near enough gets her nose in my trouser pockets. Doesn't stop him barking though. Axx

    I’m Homed

Dear Ruth, I will always remember your words of comfort when we lost our angel Mia on Friday, March 6th, 2015. A date which will forever remain etched in my memory as one of the most painful days of my life. Now it's my turn to do the same for you as you prepare to send the gorgeous Basil on his final journey. Phil and I know exactly what you are going through to day, and what is to come in the aftermath. It hurts so, so much. Just remember that you did everything you could for him, all of his life and right up to this final unselfish act. If only every dog could experience what he has experienced, thanks to you. I am not the most religious person, but as part of my healing process for Mia I researched some quotations offering comfort to those who have loved and lost a dog. There are many, but I really like this one.... “God will prepare everything for our perfect happiness in heaven, and if it takes my dog being there, I believe he’ll be there.” by Billy Graham I love this as I like to believe that one day you with Basil again and we with Mia, and all of us who have loved and lost will be reunited with our beloved greyhounds. Much love to you, Thinking of you xxxxxxxxxxxxx

    I’m Homed

Oh ....if only we all had a crystal ball !!! Adopting a greyhound is very rarely easy. Thank you Lisaestelle, for admitting that you may have been at fault as well !! When we re-homed Davey, just over two years ago, he was at the last chance saloon. He is very dominant, and very food orientated. But, we have learnt to read his body language, and predict his reactions. He can still be a real pain in the arse, but we know he will never change !!! So, we have to accept him as he is. He can be the most sweet boy...but at times...our worst nightmare. Please, be understanding...and keep us updated on how Cadbury is doing.X.
