CADBURY IS ENJOYING being back with his girls it's as if he has never been away. We are taking it one dat at a time but so far so good. Ava Cara Boo boo and Zeta love him xx

It is very true it is easy to judge we had Cadbury for a long time and was heart broken when we had to return him. After reflection we decided that we were partly to blame for his return and we could have tried harder, but this is not always the way and you have to consider the grey and what's best for him or her. It may be that returning g is the best. On a happy note on a happy note we have been so heart broken we have took Cadbury back and he is happy with his girls and so far every thing is good. We are takin one day at a time. I'm sure Podge will find the right owner and sofa for him very soon it can just take a little time but when the right one comes along it will be forever xx

I agree with Ruth it is a very difficult time if you have to return a hound, for what ever reason, its not for us to judge the reason why ( we may not agree ) just that it is in the best interest of the hound and owners at that time . Ever hound has a special sofa with there name on xx

lt is so very heartbreaking to read this sad news. Many of us know that Basil hasn't been in good health for quite some time now. Ruth, l remember you saying to me about this time last year, that you didn't think he would see his thirteenth birthday...but he did...and you and Rob have given him another year of love and care. You know yourselves, that if your hearts are telling you that it is time to let him go...then it is the last kind thing that you can do for him. Our thoughts are with you, and Basil, at this sad time...and l know that you will be giving him so much love tonight. X.

My heart breaks to write this but our precious Basil has become too poorly to continue and we have Christian from Fivelands vets coming tomorrow to help him go to sleep. We have had Basil since 2004 and he has brought us so much joy and will continue to in all our fabulous memories of him. XxxxxxX

At Daybreaks we pride ourselves on being there to support owners and of course their dogs. it is so easy to be judgmental about a returnee but please remember a dog comes back to us for a reason and in the case of Podge it was the right decision for all concerned. It can be a very distressing experience for those involved and sadly negative comments can make it worse. Please try to help us support those who genuinely care for their dogs and doing the right thing.
