It's hard to lose any dog but to lose one so young and in such a manner is heart breaking biggest hugs to you all and Sully.

I am completely heartbroken to say we have lost our beautiful, clever, sweet girl Isla suddenly today to what appears to have been a severe allergic reaction to being stung by a bee/wasp that she swallowed. I cant believe she s gone, we will miss her so much and were looking forward to many more years together. He new brother Sully will miss her loads too. We are so so sad and shocked, it has been an horrendous day 🙁 xxx never lost a young dog before and the pain is unbearable. RIP my Isla pila xxx

My beautiful boy, what can we do to get you your own forever sofa? First thing I'm going to do tomorrow is take a photo and make it my phone screen saver - because every houndie I have done this to since getting my new phone has been rehomed! It started with Charlie & Daisy going off to Spain, then Charlotte, then Shell, then Amy, then Mel ...... it may be a coincidence but it cant hurt to give it a go!! In the meantime sweetheart we'll all be around to give you plenty of cuddles and treats. Bless you my gorgeous boy xxxx

Watch it muddypaws - my little Asbo Pippy is perfection and one day he may just grow into those ears ! It is windy today so maybe we should tape them down to stop him taking off and landing in Never Never Land (dont worry everyone, I am only joking). I dont hold out too much hope of him calming down - Davey is older than him and is a 'special needs geriatric delinquent' (sorry Aunty Ruth, I know you love him but he has so many special needs !) We were hoping that Louis might calm them all down but I fear that he is starting to follow the other 5 in their ways. Yes Muddypaws, I know you think Louis is so perfect and cannot put a paw wrong. Good job that we love them all so very much. I did sing happy birthday to Pip yesterday but have to say that he did not look very impressed with the noise. It is Davey's birthday on 23 April so I will sing to him, rub his ears and listen for the noises he makes and see if he appreciates my efforts any more than Pip. Dont know what we would do without them though - certainly have more money 'cause they love their chicken and ham.

Louis

Louis went for his much needed dental on Tuesday. His teeth were so bad that you couldn't see them for the massive amounts of plaque covering them. He had a course of antibiotics prior to his dental to help with the infection. His pre-op blood tests came back as normal. He had fluids during and post op to make him more stable and comfortable. When we collected him on the evening, you would not have known that he had just undergone a dental. He was totally with it and so pleased to see us with a waggy tail. We were surprised to hear that he had only lost 13 teeth, as we feared he would lose them all. His mouth has been very clean...no bleeding at all,and his remaining teeth look brilliant !!! The vet and all of the nursing staff have totally fallen in love with him. He ls back tomorrow for post op check up, and again next Friday for a final check up. We had a phone call last night...and another this morning from the head nurse to ask how he is doing. l can not recommend Manor Vets highly enough for their attention to detail, their caring attitude, and their fantastic facilities. We have been using them for several years now, and they have just been incredible. lf l could mark them out of five stars...l couldn't ...l would have to give them ten !!! They are slightly more expensive than most vets...but boy oh boy...are they worth it. We have never had a problem with them....... and l know l am seeming like an advert for them...and l am...but if you are looking for a vets that is soooo caring, then take a look at them. I'm sure that you won't be sorry...our doggies never have been. 🙂

Come on people I have seen this boy do the monthly Stratford walk which is over an hours walking and his wobbly leg in no way causes him any issues. Please don't overlook him I can only echo what Alan and Pam have put none of us are perfect! This boy more than deserves his own sofa.
