Brae is a very sweet girl. She suffered a broken hock before coming into the kennels...so would only need gentle walks and of course a nice comfy bed to call her own. In return she would give you all her love and more. Xxx

Poor Jed failed to negotiate the turn into the kitchen at high speed this lunch time for his biscuit and collided with his food bowl and stand which in turn up ended his water bowl and stand as well. He was one sorry mess of greyhound covered in water. I have also just found out that Jed doesn't do snow and we have loads of it this evening the morning walk is going to be interesting.

It has been so lovely to read about the famous five !! I agree with muddy paws , we had a similar situation with Blade, sadly blade and Harry were brought back as older dogs who had lived together a long time when their owner passed away, Both Harry and blade were fostered straight away ( we fostered blade) and some weeks later we organised for them both to be reunited, I think that I was expecting them to be over the moon at seeing each other, but they just exchanged a hello with hardly a wag of the tail between them, both Harry and blade had moved on to their new lives with their new grey hound families, which is wonderful to see that they are both happy in their new lives but part of me was sad , they are just amazing animals , I thank my lucky stars everyday for Bertie and blade,and thank goodness for charities like Daybreaks xx

Oh mommy you tooked us on our walkies today and I did sayz to you that it woz going to rain! We'z did get soaked and now i'z got a swimmin pool in me one ear! It was great to see you all again on Sunday and you dont have to worry about me, I love it here with my new buddies and mom and dad are real sloppy with me. Oh you pretty little girl - you are so dainty and gorgeous! It was lovely to meet you and your family on Sunday and, as I said for Ash, our Louie definitely wanted to protect you both when the german shepherd came into the field and went by you both. We did not know he had it in him - I did notice he was not a bit interested in protecting me but I will forgive him! They did seem to remember each other which was good to see. Lots of love little one in your forever home. XXXXXXX

It was lovely to meet Ash and his family on Sunday and to see the love and care that he is being given. I believe that Louis did recognise both Ash and Kylie and as Muddypaws said, he went into protective mode when the german shepherd approached Ash and Kylie. We were both so surprised. There is also a lovely bond between 'Mouse' and Ash. You are a gorgeous boy Ash and so very lucky to have found such a caring home. Good luck lad for your operation next week - I will be thinking of you and sending you all my love. You have my cuddle today. XXXXXXX

Happy new year to all 2 and 4 legged, a bit late but been busy. We were hoping to join the Stratford walk this weekend, but Archive had 2 ops on the 31st and his stitches are coming out tomorrow on his right hind foot. He had a fast growing lump taken off - heard this week it was not anything nasty. His left hind had what everyone believed a corn taken but the vet when got up close said he thinks was something got in his pad and a hard lump formed around it because when he took it there was a void behind it. Thanks to DuleekDandy for our chews and lots of love to her, Bob and Orla. Xxx
