The gorgeous Sally ended up having her op yesterday - it was scheduled for Wednesday but they fitted her in 🙂 She has had a very peaceful night and is wagging her tail this morning....... now the question...... do I pluck up courage and phone my friend Robert (who lost Daisy) as I think she would be perfect for him...... ?

My last dog Tess was a yogurt pot licker too, however it got to the stage that you couldn't have a yogurt in the end for the drooling mess of a dog watching every spoonful so be warned!! Hugs to Paddy.

Sorry Beckie, I forgot to say they will also castrate him at the same time as removing the adenoma, as not being castrated is 1 of the causes (or things that don't help) adenomas. They say the op will be about an hour & that now there is no way they will take his teeth out at any stage in his life as this would be a 4 hour op & he definitely wouldn't survive that x

Hi beautiful Ash, I've gotta be quick as me Mom doesn't know I've mastered this laptoppythingymajig, but when I read your Mom's note about your forthcoming op I just had to let you know that I'm sending you the biggest electronic 'thought hug' possible. Big licks, Rosie Po xxx

Oh Melysa and Sam what a roller coaster, take heart that your vet now knows Ash very well and I am sure will be as quick with the procedure as possible limiting the anaestetic time. These hounds always surprise us and Ash is one hell of a fighter. Will be keeping everything crossed for you.

Hi Melysa. Sorry about Ash, have you asked the vet about removing the adenoma just using sedation? This is what our vet did with Floyds as he cant have general anaesthetic owing to grade 5 heart murmur. He was absolutely fine after. Are you on facebook? Love Becky (Archie, Floyd and Angel) xxx

Ash went to the vets this morning & his 1 large adenoma that has been bleeding hasn't got any better, so the vet says unfortunately he will now have to be operated on in 2 wks. We are obviously very concerned as they have said he is at a high risk of dying during the operation & also in the few days after when he won't be eating. So we are crossing our fingers & just really making the next few weeks with him count. The good news is it has now been sorted so that he will be meeting up with his old housemates, Louie with Muddy Paws & Kylie with Justine & Andy on this Sunday morning ( 10th Jan) between 10 30 - 11 00am! Can Bob's garden be secured for us then please? Th u x & I was also wondering if anyone at Daybreaks could please contact Ann with Emmy & the Bartley Green Crew with Isla to see if they could possibly make it? I just really want to do this for Ash. Hartstone, I don't know if you want to take some photos?!
