Ash
Over the Rainbow Bridge
OK, Ash has returned! He has put on .6 kilos which has now brought his weight up to 28 kilos! He is still too weak & underweight to undergo surgery (as well as being 11!) so he has had a chemical castration to help his adenomas (he has 5!) unfortunately hydro has to be cancelled due to them though. The vet says he now doesn't need the biopsy in his neck as his glands have gone down & that it's also best to leave his teeth as the infection in his mouth as now gone. So all in all good news & he's just got to keep putting the weight on!

Louis
Over the Rainbow Bridge
Now the Louis boy is official, he continues to be extremely well behaved (not so much at food times though because he has found out that he loves his grub and does not believe he has to wait his turn!) We are hoping he will calm the others down and teach them how to behave whilst also praying that he does not follow in their 'paw' prints! If Flynn gets a bit grumpy with him he just looks at him as though he has a screw loose (which of course he has). Louis has many traits of Bobby (Pumpkin) who also looked at Flynn the same way. He has fitted in perfectly with the others though and seems to think he lives here now - must have been when I showed him his adoption papers and put on his new house collar on Saturday. To anyone who is thinking of adopting a grey, please do not discount the older dogs - they need homes too and you will have so much love from them you will find it so very worth it. I am sure that anyone who has adopted an older grey will agree with me.

Tommo
Over the Rainbow Bridge
When we visited kennels just before Xmas, Kate brought Tommo into the office, because he was being a naughty boy in his kennel. There was some boxes on the floor containing pigs ears, doggie treats and cuddly toys. Well...he didn't know which box to climb into first...and was determined to bag himself a cuddly toy to take back to his kennel !!! He is such a lovely boy and a real character. He gets a look of sheer amazement on his little face at each new experience. He is going to make a super companion and is going to have so much fun exploring the big, wide, world !!! Luv him to bits. Is Roger not a beautiful boy, looks very serious to but maybe that was because he was in a new environment when the photo was taken. Good luck Roger I hope you will have a news years party on a sofa with a loving family.

Charlotte
Over the Rainbow Bridge
Charlotte is settling really well. All of us are learning each day, school of live never stops does it. She did not know what a sofa is for and was not keen to get on it. She has now learned that it is nice and comfortable bed. When we sit on it she now joins 🙂 The stairs she still finds scary but is making very good progress and with support of treats getting better each day of going up. Going down is still a challenge for Charlotte. Each morning and evening she is looking forward to her walk. Very curious about the new smells and sounds and what she sees. Although not always, we understand why she failed the cat test, during one walk in the evening she spotted a cat before we did and wanted to go after it. Luckily I managed to control her. Birds are a mystery to her and finds it strange that one minute they are there the next gone. It is a real joy having her around tonight we will visit the vet so we can all meet him/her another new experience for all of us :-)).
