Can I be so bold as to ask how Charlie and Daisy came to be chosen? Are their new family originally from England or supporters of British Greyhound racing? It's just with all the rescued Galgo's in Spain I'm curious as to why they chose hounds from here... That said I'm over the moon for the two beauties who are going to have a wonderful retirement I'm sure! And a quick 'hats off' to those who make it happen (well jell of the swanky van lol) Xx

Belle
I’m Homed
Belle is doing well today. I stayed up with her all night, she keeps standing up but then can't get back down! She was whimpering a lot in the night so picked up some tramadol earlier and she's zonked now. Hoping for a quieter night tonight. Thanks to everyone for their good wishes! Belle usually wears a harness, we couldn't find it so put her collar on. We won't be doing that again!

Louis

Louis has been living with us for just over a month now...although it seems so much longer!!! He has been the easiest dog to look after, we honestly have had no problems with him whatsoever. He has been totally clean in the house...no signs of aggression...and after a little bit of aggression from two of ours, they have all settled in really well together. Most greys have problems initially, settling in, but you have to persevere, there is always a solution if you sit down and think about it. We have re-homed some really problem greyhounds over the years....but we have never given up on any of them...there is always an answer if you look hard enough. There is always help at hand if needed, both from Daybreaks, and from experienced owners on this website. l could never imagine my life without this beautiful breed being part of it. l love them so much, and they give so much in return. Please... if you are thinking of adopting a greyhound...have patience and understanding...you may well need it...but the rewards are so worth it !!! l think Louis has found his forever home, he has taken a piece of my heart. X.

Cookie is loving her new home, we've been on some long walks and she's slept for hours on her back with legs in the air. It's so wonderful to have such an adorable girl, Harry, our first grey, would be very happy too and I'm sure he's still around in spirit. Thanks again for the wonderful job done by all volunteers at PB xxx

So Glad Belle is home, hope she's back on her feet soon, my girl has slipped her collar twice now, she has such a slim neck so we bought a harness, maybe thats an idea for Belle, no worries of her slipping her collar again. xx
