We unfortunately didn't make the Sutton Park walk this morning, due to an arrangement being changed. We hope we can take Milo along to the next big walk, but he's settled in a treat, has found his favorite spot on the sofa and he loves his walks.

I also have to say that we do tend to give our dogs as much walking time as it's possible to do every day so they are probably glad we leave them for a rest sometimes - I'm fairly certain Lucy (who was our first) would be disgusted and upset if we only stuck to the twice daily 20 minute walks! We've been out for 3 hours this afternoon (leaving TalkSport on the radio as Kylie seems to like it) and made sure they had a good half hour walk first, having already had an hour or so this morning. We've never used the Kongs as Lucy's not at all food driven and Ben's a bit of a greedy boy but again, I know of people who swear by them. Trial and error really - hopefully not too much of a trial for you though. I'm sure you'll get there, it's just finding what reassures them the best. Good luck x

Just wanted to say that Shaun is doing really well now and has made a good recovery. He has finished his second course of antibiotics tonight and is back to eating all he is given and more! Want to give a massive massive thank you to Kate for all her support through this we can't thank you enough for being there through this. Peg is still being Peg bless her. needing lots of love and attention & being a brave girl last week giving blood. Want to give my cuddle tonight to Paddy. it's true what I've read on here about the quiet ones being overlooked. Your time will come Paddy. Shaun was at daybreaks for a long time and didn't put himself forward, he is the most laid back lovely boy you could want. He really is the most laziest greyhound going & the best thing that happened to us. Can't imagine life without the 2 of them now xxx

I'm just putting out another little plea again to any of the other people who have one of the 'Famous 5' dogs. Sam will be coming up to the Daybreaks Xmas event tomorrow (I will be up separately with Charlie Mouse after we've done the Sutton walk!) now between 12 30 - 1pm with Ash & it would be so lovely if the other dogs could be brought up, so Ash could be reunited with Kylie, Isla, Emmy or Louie. Th u. Also just wanted to say thank you to Ted with Gordon who gave us a large pack of tinned fish for Ash. Th u! Had a fantastic night last night at the Step into Christmas event! Th u! Ruth & Robbie, your hustle was brilliant, Claire, you were great & Lisa, you & your little ones were such fab mice! Really lovely just to see everyone there & well done for all your effort.

As well as the gentle intro to being alone you could put on her an old tee shirt which you have slept on and so smells of you 🙂 Kongs are great to occupy them and give them something nice when people leave them ...I personally think it's a big 'ask' when we leave greys on their own especially as they have always have had company.... I'm happy for my grey to sleep on her bed in my room- you can put a child gate on the door and move their bed on to the landing so they can see you but not get to you if you prefer. Giving them lots of exercise (45 mins to an hour) to make them more tired can help them settle too.
