I agree, he wolfed down a battered sausage & some fried chicken from the chip shop! & he also is a bit funny about eating off a plate! I'll try what you've said, but he doesn't like egg but I could try the peanut butter on kibble, instead of bread as he doesn't like that either! Blimey! & there's Mouse who would eat a dirty old boot with peanut butter if you put it in front of him! PS We should all meet up so the 'Famous Five' can all see each other again! We are Bournville/Cotteridge way x

The vet seems to think Dingo has pulled his shoulder as he yelped when he lifted his leg out. He has got a course of Rimadyl and has to go back if no improvement in a few days. Thanks for the kind wishes. Xxx

Great to read Ash is doing better. I really suspect they ate a lot of whatever their owner was eating. We wondered about giving Kylie porridge at one stage - seems it may be good we didn't bother. Kylie will eat tuna and pilchards but probably not really carby. What about some sort of rice? We add peanut butter to kibble rather than on bread for Kylie sometimes and Lucy has had phases for some months now where she's most disgusted if Mother has forgotten to add it to her own kibble. Not sure whether it's carbs or not but maybe some scrambled egg? Ours have some from time to time. Hope you make a breakthrough but you must be doing something right if he's gained 7 kilos. Well done for that anyway... Oh, and today, Kylie is donating her cuddle to Ash for being a brave and soppy soldier. Kylie also is fairly demanding of her fuss. How their owner managed to completely dote on all 5, I'm not quite sure! Maybe it was one on his lap and 2 each either side. They're definitely a cuddly lot it seems!

Jed took a dislike to my furry winter hat today and took it to his bed and sat on it. I did think he gave me a funny look when I put it on my head before we went out for a walk!

Rolo is also a fussy eater & needs lots of encouragement to eat. Hard to believe it when he eats half your hand for a treat at training but meals are a different story. You could try pasta or rice but cook it with the chicken. So put chicken in pot & then add the pasta for last 10 mins of cooking. That way the pasta or rice will taste like chicken. May just work.

For carbs have you tried Pasta? My two love it and Tomato sauce, Racing greys are often fed cooked tomato just a tin of chopped in juice warmed slightly and poured over pasta. Xxx

So good to read that Ash is feeling a bit better now and gaining some weight. It is a worry that he is such a picky eater, makes it difficult to get the required carbs/calories down him if he wont eat what's good for him!! Have you tried him with pasta yet? You are doing an amazing thing for him, thank you. xx

Millhouse will have to start his own blog so he can keep us all up to date with his outings and share his experiences of how to get used to other breeds in the big, wide world! I love this boy and he has shown now that he can learn what's expected of him quite quickly - his next outing really should be to his very own forever home. Big cuddles for you sweetheart. xxxx
