It's 2 years today since you came full time into our lives. 2 years of laughter, tears, and fun. You've destroyed things, but then look totally innocent and try and blame someone else, you've worked hard and passed your Good Citizens up to gold and then looked at me as though you've never done a recall before. You steal anything left lying around, especially if it's mine, you've even destroyed the new rug, just because you can. Now you've taken Andy under your wing and are teaching him your ways, good and bad. But we wouldn't swap you for the World, it's been a privilege to see nervous Norris become Naughty Norris, Nosey Norris, and on occasion, Normal Norris, (very occasionally) Happy Gotcha day Norris.

So glad you enjoyed your weekend away, as for stairs!! When our big man gets up there its not nice coming down. Now ours are not allowed up stairs so he hasnt had a lot of practice but it always ends with him slamming into the door at the bottom. Now Breeze she isnt allowed either but when we have thunder in the night she comes up and she is very good with stairs, comes down with her belly low to the stairs, which means she is in control even at the bottom. Archive says dont move the jug lap the gravy from it while standing on your back legs. Xxx

Hi Jeff, if you want to add some moist food in with Burns you could try Nature Diet. It comes in several flavours and our greys love it. we now order it in bulk on line.

We now have two Douglas Coates in the family. One is my husband and the other is Duggie Dog whom we adopted this afternoon after fostering him for a week. He got a bit stressed out at the kennels this afternoon with all the comings and goings and was growling by the time we posed for the re-homing pic(can you hear him?) He's now crashed out on the settee...he definitely likes a quiet life! xx

I've had a few issues and a few bad days with Carla , chewing things over the past few weeks when I was out , initially I thought she was getting stressed during storms , but it would seem over the past few days that it maybe the tinned food ( thanks again for the advice Ruth, sorry I caught you on Holiday) Ive been adding into her Burns food as everything is nice and calm again now Ive stopped adding in the tinned stuff . This is going to sound absolutely stupid and crazy but Im now changing my heating at home from solid fuel to gas with a huge 5 figure cost and Im actually getting a loan to do it with the main driver behind my motivation is so I have the time the walk the girls before I go to work on an early shift at 6am in the winter, I so love walking them before I go to work , after the initial Hong Kong Phooey chop from Carrie ,once the leads are on , its just the best thing in the world and well worth a 5 figure sum.

    I’m Homed

Well, here we are again with another update on my progress at Badger towers. I have to say that I am having a ball with my new mom and dad. They took me to Cornwall the weekend and we stayed in and I was treated like royalty and gues what..... I WENT UP AND DOWN THE STAIRS!!! Now this was not an elegant afair atall even though the stairs were very wide. I tend to get a little excited towards the end and get and start to stumble. This results in a bit of confusion with these long legs of mine and dad usually ended up being dragged down with me which didn't please him too much. I also went to the beach where lots of other dogs were playing. Dad did not let me go though as he was scared I might get lost chasing some one else's ball. We went to the pub as well where I behaved perfectly well and resisted the need to nick every one else's food. To be honest I was so tired I could not be bothered. Even the annoying little dogs that ran past a couple of times didn't even raise an eyebrow. Dad put the back seats down for me and put my favourite mattress in the back which meant that I slept all the way there and back apart from a paw stretch half way. Most of my kennel coat is out now and have a very nice black coat developing which is also making me look even more handsome than I used to, not that I am modest at all!!! So life is good here and full of adventure and love. Just perfect. Oh, and to answer your question Lady V, No, Jan Fennel was useless. Didn't help me one little bit in my quest to get the Gravy jug on the quiet. However. Dad has been reading an SAS book which I am going to try and have a squint at. Now that may just do the trick. I will let you know how I get on. Good luck to all my palls and hope you all end up with great families xxxxx

Poor Maggie and poor you too. With Lola having had a stroke earlier this year I can imagine what you must be going through. It is such a worry as there is so litle you can do to help them when they are wobbling around not in control of their legs or being bewildered or whatever, depending on how the stroke affects her. Sending you both big hugs xxx

    Over the Rainbow Bridge

Tessie is doing well, gaining confidence, still very frightened of some people, workmen unloading vans etc, getting better with general traffic. Is always reluctant to leave the house, as if she associates leaving her safe haven with unpleasant experiences but okay once we get her moving. Can be very boisterous, which is fun but bothers our poor old Tilly!

I haven't posted in a while but took both Girls for a weigh in at the vets today and Carla has remained at 25.6 kg and Carrie is a whopping 25.7 kg , That'll do .... don't really want them to get much bigger and the squirrel we saw on the way to the vets was lucky I always keep them on a lead or else they would have been the weight of a squirrel heavier.
