Having recently read Jeff's problem with Carla chewing things and Ruth's advice to stop mixing tinned meat in with her Burns, we may be experiencing a similar problem. Until several months ago, our 5 greys were fed Burns Sensitive Pork & Potato for their breakfast & their tea...usually with chicken or tuna mixed in. However, as l said, several months ago we changed their breakfast diet to tinned meat...mainly for speed and convenience, but also because they really seemed to enjoy it ( l must point out that they love the Burns as well ) but we also thought it would give them a more varied diet. However, we have seen a big change in their behaviour and temperament. They have become very hyperactive and, at times, very aggressive towards each other. The only reason we can think of for this change is the tinned meat. We are currently dealing with yet another bite wound, where one of them...and we dont know which one...has taken a large chunk out of Millie's shoulder!!! We have seen the biggest change with Pip, who was a really loving and laid back boy before, but has become mega hyperactive and aggressive towards the others,usually for no reason. So, from today, no more tinned meat allowed in this house....it's back to Burns only!!! Fingers crossed that we see an improvement. l will keep you posted. l would be interested to know if any one else has had any problems that they can attribute to feeding tinned meat ??? X.

Hey lady V. I just needed to tell you that the SAS book worked!!! I actually managed to nick moms cheese sandwich this morning without any one knowing until they found the sandwich bag (didn't go down to well so I need to learn how to hide the bag next time). Still, it's slow and stealthy that's the main thing. I may try abseiling next !!!! Cheerio for now xx

It was lovely seeing Duggie again today n spending time fussing him in the office whilst he leaned on me. Thank you so much Foggie for giving this fantastic, loving dog a home he so deserves. I know he's gonna be really happy with u n I can stop worrying that I'd be the one taking him home! X

It's great to see the steady flow of new intakes coming into Daybreaks recently!!! This means the waiting list is constantly moving. Great news for everyone concerned... especially the dogs on the list!!! l know it's a big worry that trainers may become impatient and take their dogs off the waiting list when it slows down...that's something none of us want to see, because every dog that retires deserves that chance of a loving home. Ruth, Kate, Sarah and all the volunteers at kennels do an incredible job...as do all the fund raisers and foster parents. lt's a fantastic set up at DB ...and the dedication, determination and commitment shown by everyone concerned is just incredible!!!! We are going through a fantastic period at the moment and hopefully it will continue...because these beautiful dogs need us. A massive pat on the back for everyone... you really are Guardian Angels. XXX
